Excellent family-friendly restaurant for couples, families, and/or groups of 20+. Upon arriving, i noticed the stone parking lot was quite long. Handicap parking is along the first row, immediately to left of restaurant and clearly labeled with signs. There are plenty of benches along the front wall, and even a covered patio with a foosball table and a few games (2-3 claw machines and a retro style arcade game with joystick and buttons. It wasn't packman but something similar). There is also a covered area if you enter restaurant from front, with plenty of standing room and lined with benches around the perimeter. In addition, there is a large bear statue next to sign for Menz (large billboard style sign), which is excellent for pictures. All guests must arrive prior to being seated. Menz takes reservations, so pending size of party, i suggest you call ahead. There is a bar area, which is beautifully air conditioned, with tvs and great atmosphere. There were probably close to 24-30 booth style tables in bar area, which looked to accommodate 2-6 people total. I noticed hostess was seating tables there, so table service is not handled by bartenders. There was a variety of food - appetizers, soup and salad, seafood, chicken and veal parmesan, pasta dishes, steaks options, and burgers. Kids menu available for $13.99. All entrees served on a take-home frisbee. Choices included fish sticks, chicken tenders, hot dog, mac n cheese, spaghetti and meatballs or cheeseburger. Kids' meals included one side and drink, a freeze pop for dessert, and kids were given a paper bag for $2 worth of candy from the on-site shop, behind the host/hostess area. Candy variety ran from five cents a piece through $3.40. Other gifts and memorabilia available for purchase. After being seated, we were served a basket with warmed bread and blueberry muffins to start. Service was excellent and food came out quickly. The waitress brought out 6 different cake options for dessert - all slices looked fresh and moist...a rarity these days. We had an excellent experience at Menz Restaurant. There was so much to look at and see, walking through different rooms. We reserved for 30 people and they had 2 large tables ready before we arrived. Checks could only be split two ways per table. Thankfully we knew prior to going, so one paid with credit card and everyone else used cash. FYI, there is a 3% charge for credit and debit card payments. Google showed average prices were $40-60 per person. Some of us ordered platters for $24-35, while others got an appetizer, soup and salad which put them at $31. You can eat well and pay $50 per person, or mix and match. The porterhouse steak and lobster tail were the big ticket items. No matter what you're looking for, Menz is great for all kinds of dining options and seemed to be priced appropriately. Overall, we were extremely happy with our first experience dining at Menz Restaurant. We will surely be returning and making family dinner a...

Read moreExcellent food and so close to a 5 star review from me!
Firstly, the service was on point. Our server was great and even though our meal was delayed she went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. Without a doubt 5 stars for service!
I really enjoyed the clams, both the steamers and casino appetizer were great. I only wish I asked for more bread with the steamers because the sauce was amazing. Others in my party also enjoyed their soups.
When picking a main I made sure to stick with something that was locally sourced (for freshness) and I was not let down. I had the sword and it was excellent. It tasted fresh, was cooked perfectly and again the sauce was amazing. My GF ended up dipping her food into my sauce so that says something! Everyone who picked an entree that was sourced/caught locally was impressed. I enjoyed my beer and everything I ordered I would get again.
The two things that were not really that impressive were the calamari and fried fish sandwich, both were bland. The calamari was chewy and the fried fish tasted as though it was frozen. It was a great portion and if you aren't that into seafood but still want to get something to kind of pretend you are it's an incredibly basic option that nearly anyone could eat (especially since it's fried) but that's all. For me basic is 3 stars that said the other dishes were so good they carried my rating here. I would...
