I had such a great experience at Fisher's eating for one, let me elaborate. Even though the restaurant was busy on a Saturday night, I was seated at my own table (most places will ask you to sit at the bar). Then, when I learned that the dish I wanted (Swordfish) was out, my server, Karen, checked several times with the kitchen to help find me an alternative and to include the other sides I really wanted, which were delicious: garlic butter baked halibut, fresh asparagus, shrimp risotto and cornbread with a whipped honey butter. I then ordered the fried ice cream, which was pretty incredible, though a bit much for one person. That's the good side of things.
Karen my server was authentic, she checked on me a couple times and when she saw I wasn't going to finish my I've cream, insisted I bring it home. Only trouble was, I wasn't going home, I was camping with my trailer, only I didn't have a place to park it for the night because all the camp sites in the area required advanced bookings. I told Karen this and she immediately started telling me about call sites in the area she knew about. I called one and they had a sitev available, but the fee was too high.
Karen asked her manager and they offered for me to camp in the back parking lot of the restaurant. To clarify, this post is not intended to turn Fisher's into a campsite, but to thank Karen for her kindness, care and help, which was immense.

Read moreJust went here last night for my girlfriends birthday and I have to say I was impressed. We go a lot of places to eat but I liked this place a lot. You can tell time and effort was put into the building and the atmosphere. i felt very comfortable and was very warmly welcomed and catered to. Gives me hope for food service in the future. Our waitress was amazing, I'm sorry i don't remember her name but she made it a very pleasant experience. I got the fisherman's platter and I was very satisfied with the size. When it comes to the actual seafood I was also very impressed, everything tasted amazing right down to the batter. The onion rings were spot on providing the correct onion to batter ratio and the coleslaw was very up to par. Everything was great and I also had some chowder from my girlfriends plate and it too was very good! The reason I am writing this review is that I am home and it's the next day and the cookie they give with the kids meal was in my kitchen and I just had a bite and I bet you can guess, it was AMAZING. Amazing enough to make me want to come on the internet and write this review, just because this place really satisfied me that much and I wanted to express my appreciation the best way possible. Definitely try this place if you are within 40 mins. I will be frequenting this restaurant in the...
Read moreThis place really deserves 5 stars because the food is awesome. But sadly the waitress wrecked our experience. My two cousins & I came here for lunch just yesterday. We had an older woman as our waitress and she was pushy & made us feel very rushed for everything. When we sat down she asked for our drink order and she seemed fine, afterwards she wanted our food order we had to tell her 4 times that we were still looking at the menu because she would leave for 2 minutes & come right back. At one point she said “I’ll go get drinks and come back” but all of our drinks were full so she literally circled the bar and cane right back. Then she kept saying let me make suggestions. Want this, want this? It was very stressful and making us feel so pressured. So we finally ordered. She set the bill down and came right back for it. We hadn’t paid yet and she goes oh sorry about that leaves and comes right back trying to swipe the check up again two minutes later. We still hadn’t paid yet so she basically stood there with the check in her hand. Rudest thing. Then when we did pay and she said have a nice day. She said it FOUR more times as we were waiting for our order we had placed to go. She was so rude & really wrecked...
