8/2/22 First time dining here, and it won’t be the last. Being a restaurant that primarily caters to the Lyman’s Golf Course crowd, it’s understandably located alongside their clubhouse in a relatively obscure location. I’m having lunch here with an old buddy and I checked Yelp to find a place more or less midway between our homes. The 1741 Pub fit the bill. Upon entering I was greeted by a sweet young woman that let me pick the table I liked. I found one that had very nice views overlooking not only the golf course, but had a commanding view of the surrounding countryside on this beautiful early August day. Lunch was with my old friend Ron D., today and he selected a Caesar Salad with grilled chicken that looked very fresh and crisp (bothe the salad & the chicken LOL). He said it was very good. I started with a bowl of their chili that came with nice slices of fresh Jalapeño peppers, a good helping of melted cheddar cheese, & a big dollop of sour cream. I put the pepper slices off to the side because I’m just not crazy about ‘em. The chili however was a much larger portion than I expected and was really good. Thick and meaty with just the right proportion of beans. When our server placed the bowl in front of me I said, “I don’t think I needed to order a burger too”! It was excellent chili. My cheeseburger was a solid 1/2 pound and cooked just as I prefer them, pink in the middle. A great lunch with a great guy, with spot on service from our adorable server. We’ll be back for certain.

Went here with a large group. Prices are fair, food quality was solid here. Do NOT order the caprese salad. Not sure what happened here but it tasted foul, they were nice enough to comp that off the check. My low star rating here is due to the cleanliness of this establishment. There is a SERIOUS fly problem here. We were seating in the corner overlooking the golf course which was nice at first. But, since we were seated next to windows, we had to constantly swat away flies. Flies trying to land on our food, flies landing in our cups, flies landing on us. It got annoying pretty fast. Flies are a source based insect, meaning that there's some sanitation issues that need to be addressed. I recommend you guys get a good pest control service ASAP.

The golf course is absolutely gorgeous and well manicured on top of the fact every hole has the most breathtaking views. The staff members were all very polite and on point with help. We stopped in for a bite to eat, and again, the view from the indoors was beautiful. The bar was small but perfect and perfect for the space. We ordered chips and salsa which weren't anything special but the burgers we ordered were delicious and so fresh. They were cooked perfectly, and the spicy fries were delightful. Perfect spot for a quick bite on a busy day. The only complaint we could possibly have unfortunately were the restrooms, which really needed some tidying by the time we made it into them.

Probably one of the best burgers I've ever had was from here. Also their truffle fries are up there too. I know you can pretty much get burgers and fries at alot of restaurants, but here they definitely stand out, they're one or two notches above everybody else. Even the bacon I got on my burger does not taste like your run of the mill bacon you can get any where. It was almost to the point that I was ready to ask where they get their bacon from so that I could get more for home use.

I have eaten here twice and have ordered the same thing each time, one of their burgers and the truffle fries. They were consistent both times as being exactly the same, delicious! My wife ordered the soft pretzels for an appetizer that came with a cheese dipping sauce and even those were really good.

Staff is also extremely friendly and welcoming. The night we went was on a weekend evening which made it busier than normal and seemed as thought it didn't faze any of the wait staff. They were all on point and mind you that a few of them were clearly in highschool working their part time job.

If there was one thing I would critique, it would be the menu itself. What they offer is fairly limited, Especially as far a entrees go. There are a few to choose from, but what they offered didn't grab my attention; one of the reasons I had the burger again. This was ok for me because I knew it was a sure thing. Definitely recommend for the burgers. Now, if I was not really in the mood for a burger, I probably would not give much more thought on going just due to the...

My wife and I went for lunch yesterday. Can't say we would recommend this place. I should start by saying that the views are beautiful. We went a few days after a recent snowfall and the views of the snow on the golf course were great. Now to the meal: We asked what was on tap and ended up ordering a couple of glasses of the Waterfall IPA. When these arrived to the table, they had a wierd yellow-green cloudy appearance (looking more like a smoothie than beer). Taste matched the look - there was just something "off" as if we were drinking something that was on tap for several years. The "nachos" we ordered as an appetizer arrived as a pile of the potato chips (same as the ones they use as sides), topped with the type of cheese sauce you buy in a jar in the store with some chives on top. The cheese sauce was cold. Edible, yes. Worth the $11.99 we were charged, absolutely not. We were one of two groups in the restaurant but, despite this, service was pretty poor. Throughout our meal, there were several employees congregated by the bar but few assisting customers. Views are great but there are plenty of better places for...
