Listen........when I tell you this was the BEST cheesesteak that I have ever had, believe me......better than ANY Philly cheesesteak, and between my husband and I, we have had a lot of cheesesteaks. I read the reviews that were less than 5 stars because I couldn't fathom them having anything less than 5. It seems to me that there may have been some kinks needing to be worked out in the beginning (3 years in business, are you kidding me?!) They have definitely perfected whatever issues they may have had. This place feels like they've been there for 30 years. I know I'm rambling, but you're reading it, sooooo. When I tell you I'm taking my time to write this review like I did eating that cheesesteak, because it was worth every bite like it's worth every word. (And I'm very picky)

The meat was perfectly SEASONED, the toppings were perfect, the sandwich had the right amount of meat and the bread (sesame seed) was amazing...... from a local bakery maybe? The fried pickles were perfect, mind you, I really wanted chips, but they only offer spears, however, I was not disappointed at all. I was rather surprised at how much I liked them. You can tell they batter them there. Onion rings were perfect also, the sweetness of the onion was perfect with the right amount of batter. For dessert we had a cannoli and funnel fries with vanilla cream. I don't personally like cannolis, but my husband loved it. The funnel fries were better than any funnel cake I've had too......very addicting. We are happily full and will definitely be back every time we're in New Jersey.....or New York, or Pennsylvania or anywhere near, lol. Can't forget the customer service, wife and daughter were both sweet as the cannoli cream. I also love...

This is my first time giving 5 stars in all categories. If you follow my reviews, that may seem strange to you. Let me explain... My wife and I are NY foodies with a serious love for specific dishes. I mean, we've driven just to satisfy our tastes. I don't remember the last time I had a cheesesteak outside of Philadelphia. Today we just didn't feel like the ride, maybe I'm aging out. Anyway, I'm looking for a new burger spot near me. 25 places come up with a rating from 4.2 to 4.8 out of 5 stars. I'm searching, looking at pictures, etc. But guess who has the 4.8!?? Cheif's Steak Shop! How does that happen? Someone wrote that they started making burgers. Bless them!!!🙏 Otherwise, I would've NEVER seen them. When we pulled up, I thought, "This lil' joint? NAH." But my wife said c'mon let's go in. True story.. someone walked by us on the phone asking the person that were talking to, " You never been to Chiefs?" That's all I needed. You smell it as soon as you walk in. Move over Philly! The owners, Mat and Nella are tag-teaming the kitchen solo. No help. Mat comes from behind the counter and his me the sample. I LOST IT! That's a man who stands behind his food. See, I cook like this. Love is the first ingredient. The force is strong with them, people. I don't care where you have to come from. It'll be worth the trip. The best in the State. Small town Big city taste. We ordered the 10 inch chesestak with white American cheese and 6 wings. Phenomenal. The Steaks are Premium Quality 100% Beef Ribeye Steak which comes with choice of 1 cheese and 1 classic topping or sauce. We simply got white American cheese, steak and onion. But I encourage you to be creative, there are several options to create the perfect Steak. The chesesteak was seasoned to perfection, the cheese was rich, the perfect amount of onions in a fresh roll. Perfectly delicious. I highly recommend Chief's steak shop. You will not be disappointed. This shop is family owned. We were greeted and welcomed from the door. There are a variety of other menus items such as Backyard Burgers, hot dogs, wraps,Ultimate nachos, pretzel bites, french fries, loaded fries, tots, wedges, Mac & Cheese and more! The dining room is clean and you can see the chef cooking in the kitchen. You can see they use fresh veggies. This is a great place to bring the family,sit in, pick up and go, or have delivered.
