I review a lot of places and let me say Abruzzi was a roller coaster of emotions. Ended on a high note but read on for details.

I had Abruzzi on my list since they opened. Not because of expectations but it is a new restaurant in the area. I didn't read reviews I wanted to look at the menu and make my own determination.

My wife and I came for dinner on a Monday evening. There was a delivery truck parked out front so we had to park on the stone lot by the RR tracks. Not the best but we parked where it was available. Eventually the restaurant was packed with people. Again this was a Monday night.

We walk inside and were sat immediately. This is where things got interesting. We were reviewing the menu and saw 2 other tables seated around us. We waited and waited and waited and saw that the 2 tables that sat after us were getting their drink order taken. We didnt have a waitress or waiter show up to our table for close to 10 minutes. It seemed like the staff was preoccupied with a reservation for a larger table so they were putting tables together and making sure they were ready for that group and just forgot about us.

Eventually a waitress did arrive and introduce herself. We said we weren't thrilled that it felt like we were forgotten about and thay we were ready to order.

We ordered the SPK (Sausage, Potato, Kale) soup, a large cheese pizza and the Spaghetti Bolognese.

We then waited again for food to come out. The soup is an appetizer and came out hot. It was fantastic. I'm definitely a soup guy and this soup was absolutely perfect. My only complaint is the soup came out 5 minutes before the pizza and entrée came out so I was still eating my soup when my meal was delivered. Not great timing.

So onto the main course. The pizza is delivered with a slight char and steaming hot. It looks amazing. The taste is even better. The sauce is flavorful, the cheese blend is stretchy and delicious, the crust is again fantastic.

The spaghetti bolognese comes topped with a meatball. Wow....just wow on the meatball. The pasta tastes high end and well cooked. The bolognese sauce.....really, really good. Everything was well seasoned and you could tell made with care.

Now to address some of what the other reviews have said. The restaurant is loud. I posted a video where you can hear how loud it is. They put on music which made people talk louder. You can BYO but they hand you a bottle opener. There is no bread with the entrée. If I were to change anything it would be lower the volume of the music, charge a corkage fee and open the wine people bring for a fee, provide some homemade bread with soup and/or entrées.

With all the ups and downs the food stands on its own. It was amazing, absolutely jaw dropping amazing. I shook the owner's hand when we were leaving and told him the food was fantastic. He appreciated the feedback. We will be back...

Had this restaurant pop up in my feed more than once with raving reviews. Decided to bring my mother to try it out with us. We arrived Thursday around 5pm and we're seated immediately. Service was fast and friendly. We started with the calamari, fried to perfection and tender. We were hoping for tentacles but was all rings. Tasty and fresh non the less. We wanted to try the pizza too so this small dinner turned into a feast for kings. We order the small cheese pizza for the table. Crispy with a nice chew to the crust. The sauce was spot on. We all loved it. For main course we order one each of the ravioli (+meatball), chicken parm and "The Shellfather " everything was fantastic. I was hoping for a spicy sauce for the seafood and the chef was very accommodating. Perfect amount of heat. Best dish I've had in a long time. The chicken parm was crispy and tender even with that delicious sauce in top. On point. The ravioli were definitely fresh and the cheese filling was so creamy and full of flavor. The pasta for all the dishes was fantastic and cooked perfectly. That garlic bread.. wow🤌🤌 Portions were great, we had leftovers for dinner the next night. We will definitely be back and I just might have to save room for dessert next time. Thank you for a...

Dinner tonight at Abruzzi was AMAZING. Like someone else had said in their reviews anything it’s close to is Cafe Carmela, in my opinion this is better. Vodka rigatoni I’m picky with especially growing up on Cafe Antonio’s but it was amazing flavor and huge portions. Cheesesteak from the photo looks a little dry, we were a little skeptical.. as soon as you took a bite it was like the scene from ratatouille where he eats the cheese and strawberry together it was amazing. Lastly the pizza we ordered was plain, the first one the chef made he said he didn’t usually make it that crispy so for free of charge he made us another one to his standards. Everything came out hot, we have little to nothing left. Desserts were out of the world as well, and huge portions again I couldn’t take a photo fast enough my husband and daughter had already finished the chocolate cake. We will definitely be regulars, we would give it 10 stars if we could!😋🍕🍝👍🏼

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Ambiance was good with Frank Sinatra playing in the background, staff was unbelievably nice and personable. My daughter even said that wow this place is so clean. No...
