PATRON BEWARE FALSE CHARGES: (one star is the minimum to post a public service announcement) Stopped in today as a first time customer. Sat the bar along with 4 other first time customers. Beer was good, food was good. Hostess was pleasant, bar tender was just OK. She spent more time at the other end chatting with what appeared to be 4 regulars and "filling cheese", than attending to empty glasses. The real problem came when they brought the check! There was a "non-cash adjustment" added to to the check just below the tax line....., no question of how I was paying, no notification by the bartender. I was paying cash so figured when I paid that this FEE would be removed. Still no mention by the bartender and the change revealed that they DID charge the fee REGARDLESS of how you were paying. I was still charged the non-cash fee! I left tip on the bar and approached the pleasant hostess with the question. She told me the credit card machine automatically adds the fee (? never heard of this unless there is online processing), but I paid cash I said. She told me is should have been taken off. I told her it was not. She took the check to the bartender and the had a private conversation. At the same time I got the attention of an older employee standing next to me and asked who was in charge. He told me no one that was there at the time. I asked if it was commonplace to gouge the customer for a non-cash fee regardless of how they were paying..... at the same time the hostess, who was now, not happy at all, came over, placed the money on top of my take out pizza box and began to walk away. I again addressed the gentleman and said well I guess there is no apology with trying to skim additional money from unknowing customers. He shrugged his shoulders as the hostess spun around urgently and angrily escorted me to the door, as if to prevent other from hearing my questions. As she ushered me out the door there was a motion to lock the door as I looked back in dismay. If your going to charge a non-cash fee it needs to be made known. It also needs to be admittedly adjusted if the customer is paying cash. I don't have a problem with them trying to recover a fee, if there is one, depending on how the customer is going to pay. What I disagree with is the bartender knowing it is on the bill, not telling the customer and then not deducting it. It is clearly a case of the staff (bartender) hoping to pad their own pocket with additional tip unbeknownst to the customer. Someone is getting that money but it isn't the credit card company! An honest mistake I understand, but NO apology, and it was obvious that there may be more persons involved based upon her behavior and angrily escorting me to the door, for an honest question of false charges. All I wanted was a refund on the $2.40 that was charged, but clearly I shed light on what might be a larger and more common practice to scam customers at this establishment. The owners may not even be aware. ...
Read moreWoof. This might be my first review for a pizza place ever and it’s just to let people know this is the worst pizza I’ve ever had in my life. The pizza had a crust that was hard as a rock and I think the mozzarella cheese cooked for a solid 3 days on top. Took a bite. Tasteless and awful texture. Went to go back and toss it in the container only to see there was a weird wet spot towards the top of the pie. Tough to take a picture of it but when I touched it my finger was wet and it wasn’t the texture of oil nor was it tomato water. When opening The Buffalo cauliflower container it looked like the Buffalo sauce was trying to run away from it. It tasted of blue cheese as well so I’m not sure if someone accidentally dropped the container in it and then took it out because there wasn’t a little cup in the bigger container, who knows. Looks grilled but tasted like it was from a microwavable steamer bag. The French fries- I hope someone from this place answers me. The plain fries had a container in there which at first look the sauce container(didn’t order a side of Buffalo sauce with the fries) looked crush. After further investigation the plastic container lid looked microwaved. The lid folded over on itself like plastic would in the microwave. I’m just so confused.. why was there this sauce. Who would microwave a mini sauce container. What went wrong? I just need to know! The manager offered 25% off for this sweet weekend treat vs a refund. Told them they could’ve picked up the delivery before it all goes in the trash and I order from brothers pizza or some other place. I’m hungry, I’m very confused, and I’m just sad. Even bad pizza is supposed to be edible. I don’t know what I just had. Again I don’t like writing reviews or asking for my money back. I usually just never order from the place again but this was so bad and the silly offer of 25% for this...
Read morePlace has been under new ownership for about 3-4 months I believe. They still don't have a website or Facebook with a new menu and up-to-date pricing. How can customers order food without knowing what is being offered and how much it is? Should be a priority.
We had a coupon to use and found old menus online which were off in pricing by $2-$5 dollars per item. This was about a month ago. Trying to order was hard because the music was so loud the waitress couldn't hear us on the phone.
When we went to pick up, I walked in and two waitresses just stared at me. One of them should have walked up and said hello and initiated the conversation. Again, trying to complete the transaction they had a hard time hearing because the 2-person band was loud. The restaurant wasn't very busy so there was really no need for the music to be blaring and this is coming from someone who enjoys loud music. Waitress said a new menu would be coming in 2 weeks.
For our food, there was some weird black thing in the box with the chicken wings, but the pizza and other items we ordered were okay.
We had one other coupon to use us and went there last week. Still no new menu although it's been about a month now. Music was blaring again. Prime rib sandwich was good on a seeded roll. French onion soup was decent although $7 for takeout soup is a bit much. We also ordered a cheesesteak and the meat tasted weird. After a few bites, it went in the trash. The meat was chunky like hamburger meat. I don't know if it was old or undercooked but no one wanted to be sick so it got tossed.
Probably not returning here. Doesn't seem like they have everything together. Basic customer service is lacking, no menus...
