My previous review has been addressed and since I was chastised and essentially called a liar after I accidently entering the wrong year for my visit, I'll be a bit more specific about our visit. Four (4) adults and my 3.5 year old grandson went to the Creek for dinner on 9/20/24 at around 5:30 PM. I dropped everyone off at the door and after parking, I went in and my party was seated at the small bar area where seating was available. I was informed that there would be around a 20 minute wait. After waiting for about 45 minutes we asked if we could be seated outside on the deck because there were many empty tables. We were informed that they didn't like to seat people until the kitchen was ready to take more food orders because the kitchen couldn't keep up and customers would then complain about how long they had to wait to order after being seated. I asked why they didn't have more help in the kitchen and was informed that "they" won't hire more people and that it's been like this ever since the outside seating area was opened. I simply asked a question and received an answer. We were eventually seated outside and placed our orders. While seated outside we had a conversation with a person from the wait staff about how long things were taking and they commented about how long they had to stand around waiting to serve food and how boring it got for them waiting to serve people. It started to rain so we moved inside to an empty table and after approximately 1.5 hours from the time we arrived, we received our food. The orders were correct but the food was just warm when it arrived. My wife and I ordered shrimp dinners, my brother ordered a burger and fries and we purchased a pepperoni pizza from the children's menu for our grandson. I can't remember what my sister-in-law ordered but it doesn't matter. There were other comments made by staff about the extended wait times but that doesn't matter either. The purpose of my review was to let the restaurant owners know that they should consider doing something different because it's obvious that they are losing money operating like this. It's not only obvious to the customers but it's also obvious to the staff. You need to get people in and out and that's not happening. The fact that you want me to provide names and/or descriptions of employees tells me a ton of what's going on there. Instead of accusing me of making things up and lying, look at your work process and consider making improvements to be more successful. My review wasn't a personal attack against anyone. It was an...
Read moreI have never written a restaurant review but I felt I had to say something for The Creek Grill.
I came here for dinner on a Wednesday night and left extremely irritated. First of all, this restaurant is CLEARLY understaffed. So understaffed that the servers are actually running past tables and into the kitchen (isn't this a safety hazard?) and the bartender had to leave the bar to take her own tables. I've worked in a restaurant throughout my youth so I know how a restaurant functions, and clearly the owners are purposely stressing the workers in order to save themselves more money.
We also had to wait at the door for a long time because the hostess was running around bussing tables and trying to help customers that servers weren't getting to. It was a train wreck! She kept telling us she would be right with us but kept going in and out of the kitchen with dirty dishes instead of seating us at the already empty and clean tables. We ended up with indoor seating when we wanted to sit outside because there would be at least a 20 minute wait on outside.
Despite this, we decided to still take a table and eat. We ordered a burger and their fish tacos. According to my husband, the burger was good, but it wasn't extraordinary. As for me, the fish tacos were bland and dry, and the rice it was served with just tasted like straight up cream. It was extremely heavy and not pleasant at all. It took around 35 minutes for the food to come out and it wasn't worth waiting. The server didn't come to our table other than greeting us and dropping off the food. We had to go to the host stand, and once again wait since the hostess wasn't there, to tell her we needed our bill because our server left us at the table and didn't come back to check on us. I understand she was busy with other tables but there is such thing as multitasking.
The service, like I said, was very slow despite everyone trying their best. I don't blame the staff, I blame the management. By the end of our stay here, we noticed the bartender crying in FRONT OF ALL THE CUSTOMERS! I felt terrible for her, she obviously was given way too much work that she couldn't handle. We left a good tip but we won't be coming back as the food and service were...
Read moreI've always been told that if there's something negative to say wait 24 hours and see if it's worth it. Unfortunately, this was our first experience at The Creek and likely our last. Such a disappointment, from the cold interior of the plastic dome to the cold tasteless food. With keeping in mind the understanding of the chaos we currently live in, we're well aware of Covid-19. Wearing masks not a big deal, sanitizing in between patrons, again not a problem. However, watching the server go from dome to dome without sanitizing in between, was a little concerning. The website for The Creek gives claims to a heated outdoor eating experience. Expect to wear a heavy jacket while eating. Also, when ordering adult beverages, expect to settle for water or pop. They were out of many types of liquor. The prices for the food is fair. The portion size is questionable. But, we didn't realize our food was going to be served cold. Again, this was disappointing.
On any type of positive note would have to be the artichoke dip with pita, and the peppermint bark cheesecake.
I had the chicken mushroom with pasta and red sauce. I brought home the entire dish. I'll attempt to make it edible at home. We also had the perch with steak fries and blue cheese coleslaw. The perch was cold, fries were soggy and you really must have a love for blue cheese in order to eat the coleslaw. We also ordered the Salmon. Choose the Teriyaki flavor and added sweet potato fries. The Salmon was also cold and the sweet potato fries are a dessert. They use cinnamon sugar as a topping and include a frosting type dip. If you enjoy that type of dish, I'm sure you'll like those. Normally we don't like to complain but, we didn't have anyone to pass our concerns along to. This would be due to the inattentive service. Dishes forgotten, drinks not refilled and let's not forget the time frame to eat and leave. We had a party of 4 celebrating a birthday. If, you're socializing and conversing with each other, you better keep it short.
Don't forget, the website doesn't mention the additional $10 charge for the dome due to Covid-19. This was...
