We drove 45 minutes to eat here based on reviews, and I'm as confused as to how this place garners 4.6 stars as I am how they can sleep at night charging what they do for frozen, processed, flavorless cafeteria food. I'm giving it 2 stars and that's only because our waitress was pleasant and attentive. I couldn't believe how much of our food was obviously frozen and processed. Onion rings were definitely made fresh from the Ore-Ida bag in the freezer. The "relish tray" for the table was a sad, tiny cup of 2 celery sticks, 2 carrot sticks, and 1 green and 1 black olive, all swimming in water. Expecting a couple of fresh, warm dinner rolls, the bread was stale and embarrassing.....almost to the point of being able to consider it a crouton. Caeser salad was made with pre-shredded, waxy parmesean cheese, however, the Kraft Caesar dressing was the only part of the meal that had any flavor whatsoever. What became immediately obvious was that the chef has no idea what salt, pepper, or seasoning are.....at all. My half chicken had zero flavor at all. So bland that I thought I had Covid again. Fried chicken that tasted like it was dusted in plain flour and fried. I quit eating it. My fries were obviously frozen and not fresh cut......also no seasoning at all. My wife ordered the ribeye and, while it was cooked to the proper medium rare, there wasn't one grain of salt. I don't know how you make a ribeye taste like a sponge, but congratulations chef......you did it. I should have known when the waitress actually SUGGESTED A1 steak sauce that this food was in trouble. Took 3/4 of the steak home for the dog. She ordered the vegetable medley as her side and, yep, out came a sad cup of frozen vegetables that had obviously been microwaved and lacking one fleck of pepper or grain of salt. The only thing I can think of, is that this place caters to crusty old people who love bland, boring food and consider a bell pepper too spicy. If you call yourself a supper club, I suggest actually cooking fresh food as opposed to cutting corners with frozen, microwaved, pre-processed elementary school lunch lady quality garbage. And, for the love of God, learn how to use a salt shaker. Service was 4 stars......food was...
Read moreYou cannot go wrong with this supper club! The service, atmosphere, and food have always been top notch! The prime rib and aged T-bone were so tender, you could cut them with a plastic spoon! We haven't been there in a while since the kids have gotten older, and it was by chance that we were in the area; so glad that we went in! This place will take you back to a time of decorum that you don't see that often any more. Dress up a little bit and enjoy yourselves!
Update on 2022-01-08: We came out to celebrate my wife's birthday, and we thought that it would be nice to invite her mother. Per my previous post, I have been a huge fan of their T-bone steak; not on the menu any longer. đ„ș That's quite alright, though! My prime rib was amazing. My wife had the same thing and equally enjoyed hers. "Mom" had the ribeye steak; best she's ever had. đ "Mom" loved the place! She felt like she was taken back in time; the decorum, the quality of service, and she even ordered a cocktail that she liked for many years: Gold Cadillac. The bartender nailed it on my Stinger! Only two ingredients, but the quality and proportions make all of the difference. My wife had an Old Fashioned; best one she's had! Thank you for another wonderful experience!!
Update on 2022-02-19: I really love doing these updates! We had another amazing dinner! We had a hunch that it may be a busier night (which it was), so we made reservations this time. As soon as we checked in, we were taken to our table, and the wonderful experience commenced! My wife and her mother ordered the same as last time, and were pleased as ever! I wanted to try something different this time. I have never had restaurant quality chicken Kiev before. My goodness! It was incredible! It was so tender and full of butter; the cherry sauce with it was nothing like I have had before! My mother-in-law had a pink squirrel after dinner; she felt like she was in her 20's again. :-) Of course, the service was second-to-none, again! Thank you so very much for another...
Read moreWe have not been here in years and decided to drive the 45 minutes for a evening of good food and fond memories of this restaurant. What a disappointment! The first thing was a foul smell when you walk in the back entrance, the place does not look like it has been updated in years. Our server took a while to acknowledge us, her comment was we must of snuck in when she wasn't looking (we did not sneak in, we had reservations and was seated by the hostess). My husband ordered prime rib, said it was okay but lacked marbeling and seasoning. He noticed on the menu there is a $2 charge for seasoning. He didn't realize the beef would be served without any, it should be for $45. The chicken kiev did not appear to be made fresh, it looked like it came from the freezer and was dry, served on top of dried out rice. The entrée was served on a small plate with a mini fork stuck in it. I suppose to give the appearance of being a full plate meal. The cherries in cherry sauce tasted like they came from a can of cherry pie filling, warmed up. The sweet potato was small, served with brown sugar in a plastic to-go cup, cost for this meal $27. My husband's baked potato was also very small. Potatoes are cheap, no reason for them to be so stingy on serving decent size potatoes. Salads were also small served with 1 cherry tomato and 1 slice of cucumber. The relish tray was served in a cup with a few carrots and celery, 2 black olives and 2 green olives swimming in ice and water. The warm rolls were dry. Service was poor, my husband went to the bar to get drinks, another waitress was kind enough to clear dishes from our table which were piling up. This was a waste of...
