Backroom Bar and Grille — Restaurant in Mifflin Township

Bartenders and workers were very polite. The only complaint I have is I was staying at the hotel, not because I wanted two because it was absolutely disgusting, and I was told that the bar closed at midnight so I ran out to my room at 11:15 to transfer money to my card so I could buy a pack of cigarettes. I hadn't smoked all day and this was the first time the entire day that I knew they had cigarettes down there to buy and there is no place around to walk to buy them at the store. I got downstairs and proceeded to open the door and realized it was locked. I did see the bartender sweeping the floors and knocked and she said that they were closed. Keep in mind this is the same bartender that told me 10 minutes earlier that they were open...

The food was actually pretty good! The server was friendly, but wasn't familiar with a certain BOGO promo card in which we traveled to have honored being it was our first visit. (These cards work great getting people to try new restaurants!) She had to go on to a group chat to ask about the card we had. After taking our check to comp it, instead of comping the lower value entree off our bill, she just took a random $6 off, which wasn't the deal. The deal is "buy one get one free", not a random comp of a random dollar amount. We travel all around, trying new places because of it, punching these cards every year. Stopped in when we saw “breakfast” on their sign. We were heading towards another place. We never knew they had a restaurant there. They serve all meals on the menu at any time I think. ( breakfast- lunch- dinner) It was about 9 am. People were sitting at the bar having coffee and chatting. I think they were third shift people. A family was having breakfast at a low top table. Our waitress was very pleasant and helpful. We wanted to split our order and she suggested a fine breakfast of fried eggs, hash brown potatoes, bacon and biscuits with sausage gravy. Of course toast as well. All the food was good! And reasonably priced!
