Habanero's Hispano Restaurant and Bar — Restaurant in Milbank

For being a small town location, this restaurant was incredibly expensive. Likewise the chicken was merely reheated and not fresh. It was actually quite shocking receiving chicken fajitas without a sizzling plate or any indication the plate had been warmed in the last day. It had that re-microwaved quality, flavor, and texture. You could probably get over the fact that your food was old and barely above room temperature and still cost $14.95- except when the bill comes they haven’t made it clear that you have to pay extra for additional chips and salsa after your first basket. So one basket for a table of five is all you get without paying $2.50 for another one. It would be one thing if the chips were fresh and tasted good, but they were stale and old. Also, FYI, a margarita will cost you $8 just for a house. The only really positive thing I would say is that the restaurant seems to be fairly clean. I wish I was able to give 0 stars tonight. We were the first ones to be seated with our table of 6. There was at least 7 tables seated after us. Each other table got there food before we did. Our waitress then tells us that our order somehow was not sent back. So as we are patiently waiting for our food we asked for a refill on our sodas. 20 minutes later after I had to stand up and find our waitress we finally got our refills because she forgot once again. We were told that our food would be discounted for our troubles. We got our check and no discount. So we proceeded to ask for a manager. Our waitress then tells us that the manager basically can’t be bothered to come out. So our names were written down for a “free drink” for the adults next time we come in. May I add two of the three don’t even drink. Also we won’t be getting those free drinks because now we will not be giving Habeneros our business ever again. Such a shame for a place that we once...

Way over priced for a Mexican restaurant ,food was very nasty ..when they brought our food out all three of our plates had cold food ..I ordered cheese enchiladas the cheese wasent melted.nothing like eating a cheese ball I sent it back .they was very rude about taking it off my bill when I dident even eat any of it .very very bad place .the worst Mexican restaurant I e ever ate at .and prices starting at 13.00 and up way over priced ..don't recommend ..and the hamburger mix they have is very Gross .this restaurant should not even be rated..I'll give it one (-10) I love Mexican food .you want good Mexican food go to Alexandria.way lower prices and excellent food...
