AS A FOLLOW UP TO PREVIOUS REVIEW... WE HADDOCK WITH THE SPINNERSTOWN HOTEL!!
Previous dinners here were good here with us ordering the Irish onion soup, twin filets and the scallops. Being it Valentine's Day and wanting to try something new, my restaurateur girlfriend and NYC foodie raised I ordered their $48 specials; lobster tail and haddock with crab and lobster sauce to share.
The minute our food came out I knew something was wrong. The lobster was dry and my haddock special was a tasteless bowl of mush. I ordered a very overpriced plate of previously frozen/stale fish and crab, dry stale rice, and totally raw string beans. First just telling our waitress my string beans weren't even blanched, they substituted limp yellow asparagus.
Not wanting initially to address our concerns with the staff and then without receiving any satisfaction from them except for taking the cat food tasting fish off the bill. We left there angry and hungry, 100% HANGRY! and Valentines Day dinner ruined!!
We will miss our favorite waiter Nicholas but we’ll look forward to seeing him at his other restaurant. Needless to say we will never return to this restaurant as they aren't accountable for their mistakes and do not value high spending repeat customers!

My foodie restaurant industry girlfriend and NYC raised I went to this restaurant for the first time. It was recommended on a Reddit chat for special occasions. We go out every week in the Lehigh Valley area and minus a few of our favorites, have been mostly disappointed by our meals. Well this was definitely not the case last night. From the moment our server Nicholas came to our table we knew we were in for a treat. He was very personable and knowledgeable helping us guide through the menu. Everything we had made us go WOW! including the onion soup, twin filets, scallops, and peach pie! Truly top notch taste and presentation coupled with our great server made for a truly memorable evening. We are definitely going to make the Spinnerstown Hotel a regular part of our...
Read moreIf your looking to spend a loud evening out with friends for above average pricing with below average customer service with very average menu selection and food in a loud neighborhood bar atmosphere, than we highly recommend the spinnerstown hotel for your next night out. We were seated in the bar area, after we specifically requested dining. Young, very casual, no socks, high pants wearing male hostess said dining area was closed for construction. Later, female hostess said closed for private party...Which was it? We were seated in the bar eating tables where we found ourselves seated directly alongside the bar as the locals were having a late afternoon catching up on their weeks events while getting their buzz on. We requested a table as far away as possible but that was only good enough to ensure the bar patrons weren’t using our tables to hold their drinks and coats. We literally couldn’t hear ourselves talk at the table over the discordant singing to the loud music as they sung over top each other to show their friends how well they new the song, all the while oblivious to those of us who had the displeasure of being in their company. I’ve got no problem with any of this in the proper setting, but to charge your prices for bar food, in a loud environment, complimented with poor service and a very delayed server (for a shift change) capped off a very uncomfortable and unforgettable dinner with our friends. We will not be...
Read more2 couples dined here tonight for my husband's birthday and we were pleasantly surprised. This was our first time back since before the pandemic and it was so much better than we remembered. Starting with the cocktails... The cocktail menu is quite interesting and extensive. I selected the most interesting drink...it was like a very light and refreshing Bloody Mary martini. It was rimmed with a delicious combination of salt, basil, spices...exactly what a Bloody Mary should be rimmed with. Perfect. Our friend had a very interesting strawberry rhubarb Negroni. I know that sounds strange, but trust me it was delicious. Irish onion soup, roasted tomato bisque and Caesar salad were our starters. All very good versions of them. Entrées were Steak Frittes, which was a perfectly cooked medium rare strip steak and excellent French fries crispy and well salted. Asian rare Ahi tuna bowl was delicious. My husband's creamy shrimp carbonara pasta was very tasty, as was my friend's chicken entrée. Desserts were shared. The house specialty peaches and cream pie and the peanut butter pie were decadent. I've never seen a restaurant have as many coffee offerings as this one, both hot and cold ranging from cold brews to lattes and espresso, cappuccino and French press. I had a cold brew latte which was better than any fancy coffee shop. My friend had a delicious cappuccino. Overall it was a wonderful experience. We will...
