Tibi's Dairy Isle — Restaurant in Mill Creek Township

Was very excited to try this place out. Placed our order.....couple hot dogs, cheeseburger, fried vegs & nachos and cheese. Our buzzer rang, received our food. Everything was good, especially the fried vegs. But.....the nachos had hardly if any cheese on them. My daughter ate almost half, then went and asked for cheese for the remaining chips. She was told it would be a dollar. I was amazed at this. So, we went up to order her ice cream. I told the lady at the window that when they serve nachos and cheese at least make sure that there is enough cheese to eat the entire order. And that I would post a review of our visit. All she kept saying was OK. Didn't try to remedy the situation or nothing. All she said was that I didn't want to discuss the issue with her, but tell her I was going to post a review. I said I did just discuss it with you, she didn't do anything about it. All I know is that when ordering nachos and cheese, every time and place I have ordered them before, I have had more than enough cheese to finish, plus extra left over. She did nothing to try and fix the issue, still wanted to charge me the dollar. I will not be stopping again. Very disappointed, not at all what I expected. Very sad to lose customers over...

In regards to their reply - Treating the locals poorly is not the way to get business. None of the reply is true. I do have family with allergies. I'm just capable enough to handle them. No one offered me ANY kind of cone. I was just told No. The explanations were not given in any way that made sense. They were just curt and rude.

This place does not have ice cream cones, and, I was informed, they will never have ice cream cones. She said something about not being able to put ice cream in a cone without cross contaminating the gluten free ice cream. I guess they can't use separate utensils or stop themselves from dipping the cones into the ice cream? Mind you, I did see a cone behind the counter. They only have about 5 flavors of hard ice cream, and none of it is something you want. They messed up my order of two scoops in a cup and 1 avalanche even though it wasn't busy. I cannot even explain how happy we are with Tibi’s food and service! The salads are amazingly fresh and their fried items are also great. The batter used is delicious and it’s obvious they keep their fryer clean, including the oil. The chef of this little ice cream shop really knows what he’s doing! Oh! And the ice cream… sooooo many options, including allergy-free hard serves! So nice to have a place like this in Sandy Lake and I’m excited to see if others will follow suit in their quality!!!
