Maria's Pizza — Restaurant in Millcreek Township

NONE OF THE EMPLOYEES WEAR GLOVES WHEN HANDLING YOUR FOOD! Don't talk on your phone in this establishment! I've been a loyal customer for 10 years! I was in here recently. After placing my order my phone rang and it was my daughter. It was a very important call. Automatically the gentleman working behind the counter with the other employees started waving his arms around and pointing at me and pointing in directions and basically tell me to get the away from the counter while I'm on my phone. I apologized and he responded :"it's a pet peeve of mine" I'm a paying customer and I did not deserve to be treated nor have someone waving their arms around at me and the unprofessional mannerism that he did! As for not wearing gloves when handling food! I've observed this on the past two occasions. The recent occasion, the girl answered the phone and took an order. Walked away from the phone and started touching food without washing her hands! And when the want to play attempted to wash their hands at the wash sink, it was basically a rinse and dry no lather no cleanliness! I don't think I'll be returning here anymore after a decade! Congratulations on making fresh pizza that somehow taste worse than frozen. I feel like I have to write this review because the other reviews are not about their food. The other reviews are more about the atmosphere and friendly staff and the cheap prices. All of those may be true (I ordered take out so I don't know about that stuff) but if you are simply rating them on their food, they do not deserve a 4 star rating! All the cheap ingredients make this the worst pizza I've ever had. Go buy frozen if you want cheap pizza. At least Digiorno tastes alright. The dough/crust taste like cardboard. When the crust doesn't even rise you know the dough is poor. The sauce has no flavor at all. It's canned tomato sauce with no seasoning. Seems they use a lot of canned ingredients because the mushrooms I got were definitely canned. The mushrooms were thick wet canned mushrooms that were still cold. If you are looking for a new pizza place to try like I was, this is not the place. You can get better pizza from anywhere else including the frozen...

When calling to order pizza, the guy on the other end of the call had no customer service skills whatsoever!!! I almost didn’t order because of him. Then when I went in to pick up, I got a “let me guess, you’re Cyndi”. The same guy that took my order, dressed in a Chardon Kitchens shirt started to ring my order out when he realized the young girl working had just started counting the drawer. He proceeded to shrug his shoulders and grab the tip jar, while saying “O-well, looks like they don’t get any tips today, not like they deserve them anyway”. I was appalled and gave no response.
