My wife and I ended up stranded here because of my job—and what could have been a hassle turned into an unexpected blessing. We loved this place so much, we went twice.
On our first visit, I ordered the drunken noodles at a spice level of 3. The noodles were silky yet had that perfect chew, coated in a glossy sauce that balanced sweet, savory, and just the right hit of heat. The spice didn’t overpower—it mingled with the aroma of fresh basil, garlic, and a hint of chili, making each bite warm and deeply satisfying. My wife chose the chicken laab at the same spice level, and it was a burst of flavor—bright lime juice, a gentle smokiness from the roasted rice powder, fresh herbs, and a chili tingle that built slowly with every bite.
On our second visit, I went for the fried rice with shrimp. The rice was fluffy and carried a light wok char that gave it a subtle smokiness. Plump, juicy shrimp paired beautifully with tender broccoli and sweet onions, all wrapped in that same perfect balance of soy and fish sauce you expect from truly authentic Thai fried rice—savory with a whisper of sweetness and an umami depth that kept me going back for more. My wife returned to her favorite laab, this time at spice level 2. That small adjustment let the citrus and herbal notes shine more clearly, with the spice drifting in at the finish rather than dominating up front—it was the perfect balance.
We also shared a Thai iced tea, luxuriously creamy with a caramel-like depth from the strong-brewed tea, mellowed by the velvety richness of the cream.
Steve and Patty are as warm and inviting as the food they serve. This is the kind of place worth planning a detour for—authentic flavors, made with care, and an atmosphere that feels like you’ve been welcomed into someone’s home. TL;DR It’s absolutely...
Read moreI ate at this place one time and have been craving it ever since and I was so desperate to get in there and quell my growling stomach that I actually did a blind side backing and swooped right in. This is something I avoid like the plague but anything for Thai food. And the couple here are so nice. I feel bad like I'm taking advantage of them. They actually give you refills if the Thai iced tea. Unbelievable. And my usual mainstay is pad Thai. But I tried the drunken noodles which are these wide noodles with bell peppers and I got it number three on the hot scale and it was so good. And to quell my spicy mouth. I got the mango sticky rice for dessert and you pour the cream on top of it and it's warm sticky rice with delicious mango. It look like they cut an entire mango on top. Anyway, I was so starving. I ate it all up + I feel like I won't need to eat for the rest of the day....
Read moreWe ordered pad Thai and egg rolls!
The owner/ server was kind. However the pad Thai was terrible I think we had stomach aches for 6 or more hours. My first bite was awful and the rest.. I don’t know if they used a premade sauce but it was super thick and probably the most worst pad Thai I’ve ever had… I wouldn’t call it Thai but maybe like Costco / packaged American food.
The food was hot- pretty sure the egg rolls were also store bought and cooked maybe microwaved in the food cart? Super dough-y with not much inside. The dough inside was kind of wet.. again I think another extremely American store bought product.
I don’t understand all the good reviews. Maybe people are just used to extremely American / poor quality food in the area.
Again- we felt sick for the...
