This was our first time visiting this restaurant we drove about 40 minutes to get there on a Saturday and arrived by 5 PM. We probably waited about 30 minutes to get a seat and there were six of us. The food was good, but the service was really quite poor and this soured our experience. I think a little better organization could help this restaurant a lot, I know they are trying hard and I do appreciate their effort. It is a buffet and they wanted us to take a new plate every time we went, but yet there was nobody that would clean our table of the old plates so we had them stacked up all over the place. They appeared not to have know a lot of staff, but I did notice the two staff members talking rather than going around to the tables and taking care of dishes . I think a solution for them would to have a place we could have dropped our plates off at a table as we went back to the buffet. I wouldâve gladly taken my dirty plate and dropped it on a table so my place where I was eating was not so cluttered. It is really difficult to eat when you have piles of dirty plates around you. Also having a dedicated person to pick up dirty plates would be helpful.
As we got there we were in line thinking we were putting our name down to get in line for a table. The line is to pay and then you wait for your table after youâve paid so that is why it takes so long just to wait in line to put your name down. If you have multiple people in your party, make sure theyâre all in line so they can pay for their bill as they get to the front of the line. If you have over 16 in your party, you can make reservations...

When our name was called the hostess took us to the side patio to wait for our tables to be cleaned. We kept waiting. I then proceeded to ask hostess what is going on with our tables, each time was a different excuse. She then proceeded to tell me that the only tables that were available for 10 was in the dining room on the left. There were 2 tables that she wanted to sit us. One table was empty but the other table was a party of 4 women who were done eating and had already been sitting there 2 hours. It is so rude for customers to sit at a table that long. We had small children with us so went ahead and let the kids eat. I then noticed a large table that had become available so I asked the hostess if we could sit there so we could all sit together. The women at the table we were waiting on were still sitting at the table so that meant if we had of waited the adults would not of been able to work. Needless to say we all ended up at the big table. When we got done eating the women at the other table finally decided to leave. I really thought there was going to be more seafood on bar. I personally think that the way the front door is handled is ridiculous. We had to push our way through the front door when our name was called. I think when people give their names they need to remain outside. I noticed several people trying to seat themselves. I think for the money we paid it was not worth it. I can get a better selection at Golden corral. I will not be going back....
Read moreIf I could give this establishment 10 stars I would! My party arrived at 5:20 and we saw online that it closed at 6pm so we hurried over to get "whatever" was left on the buffet bar. OMG the food was fresh! Not like in some places ,when it's closing time and everything is "left over", NOPE the bar was full of fish (I only eat fishđ)fried chicken (my daughter loved), baked chicken and rice, chicken dressing, collards, black eyed peas...btw ALL of the vegetables were cooked with "boiling meat" (what I use, my grandma uses, and HER grandmother used!) My daughter made the comment "I'm going to hurt myself so that they don't close!". I can't forget about the deserts...banana pudding was so good and my daughter had the chocolate Eclairs pie which she had x3 servings of it! Also we left at 6:15pm and NO ONE hurried us out, and our waitress (I think her name was Anne) gave us a menu and explained the different varieties that they offered on different days. Our meal was $14 and some change if you're paying with cash, $15 and some change if you're paying with card. I am defiantly going back for their veggie plate! Also note: if you remember the "lighthouse" in Milner, Ga. hence the name Tim's Lighthouse- the fish was good there and it's...
