Dave's Of Milton — Restaurant in Milton

August 31, 2024. I saw a bad review that I want to address.. while I wasn't there and couldn't know exactly what happened, the family who felt like they were turned away due to racism, I strongly believe this was a misunderstanding. I've been a regular at Dave's for 10 years now and I've never seen anything like that. Some facts that may have led to a misunderstanding are that the kitchen often closes at 9pm, so coming in for dinner at 9 won't work unless you just want chicken strips or fries, etc. secondly, at 10pm the entire establishment becomes a bar according to their liquor license and anyone under the age of 21 must exit the establishment by that time. Perhaps this is what someone was trying to convey.

Feb 13, 2022. Update.. During Covid shutdowns, this place took the opportunity to do some long overdue remodeling. It looks great. They took out the stage, however and no longer have live music or comedy. The karaoke is back and now is on Saturday night from 9pm till 1am.

A few years ago... Wonderful place with good atmosphere and delicious food.

Take a look through the pictures and other reviews, they say a lot about this place. I've been a regular for several years now even after having moved to Seattle, was still worth the drive to Milton.

Live music on Tuesday nights. Usually it's Jerry Miller (ever heard of Moby Grape?.. yeah, that guy!) and his band. All very talented musicians.

Open jam on Thursday nights hosted by Powercell. You know these guys. The lineup can change a little with all of them being very active in many other bands but it's people you've seen in many well known bands locally and worldwide. The jammers who turn out are fantastic as well and many of them are famous in their own right.

Friday night Karaoke! Hosted by Aury Moore (of the Aury Moore Band). She's a pro, an incredible singer and the system has more than 130,000 songs in it. You can bring your own CDG karaoke discs as well.

Saturday nights often have live music or some other entertainment. Just last night I saw Hypnotist Comedian, Ron Stubbs. Last Saturday of the month is usually Powercell playing all night....

The worst service!!! This little Mexican, kind of chubby girl...serving (actually to say she served us would be an understatment...) I'm not sure if she had literally any type of training on how to properly serve, let alone give drinks... we literally waited for 25 minutes just to get water, we had to ask another waitress to get our server, then our waitress finally decided to take our drink orders with an ATTITUDE.. no common courtesy to say "hey guys, so sorry I'm behind I'll be with you shortly.." were the type of people, we get it, we will understand! But to completely ignore us. That's a mistake! We were there for a total of 1hr and 45min... No food,No service..The Worst.. if your hungry...DO NOT GO HERE! YOU WILL DIE OF HUNGER...If you have a few hours to spare...the food is pretty good.. DAVES OF MILTON..you just lost loyal customers that's been going to you guys for years because of BAD SERVICE...This is the second time with the same waitress!! Just called she answered,with an attitude lol(typical) I said I wanted to talk to a manager, which was literally right next to her because I heard him and she said "it's the people, and he literally with an attitude said..clearly...I'm busy" WOW.. is this how you treat customers that are upset because their starving...?? And thirsty?? Are we wrong for wanting to be served???? Well we definitely will NOT be back..and will let all of our families...

To say that the service has gone downhill is a minimization. It is appalling how unsatisfactory everything is at this establishment. Prepare to wait anywhere from 60-90 minutes from the time that you order to receive your food. When your food finally arrives, understand that it will be cold because it has been sitting for a while after it was cooked. It’s not an expectation for customers to receive orders within a reasonable time frame. Keep in mind that the owner sits either belly up at the bar or at a table located in the bar and will “observe”. He will watch the staff struggle, beverages sit on the bar top for a long period all while hearing customers complaining around him and not even acknowledging it. The lack of customer service varies. This is not surprising as the owner sets the example that mediocre and unpleasant interactions are acceptable. Dave's used to have a friendly, welcoming, and comfortable environment. Now you are lucky if you get noticed within 5 minutes of sitting at your table. At some point, the owner should take accountability and pretend he cares that the pockets of working families in the area are what is keeping this...
