Terrible service and bland food.
We called in last night to order takeout. The person on the phone was very rude and seemed rather bothered that I was calling to order. We got shrimp eggrolls, crab Rangoon, shrimp lo mein, vegetable fried rice and spicy jumbo shrimp. When I walked in to the building to pick up I was welcomed with someone screaming really loud. I couldn’t see them because the front counter is tucked away from the entry door & I couldn’t make out what he was saying but it startled me for sure. At the counter a lady greeted me with my food which was about the only nice part of the experience.
The food was cold. My shrimp eggrolls rolls had pork in them and we don’t eat meat. I looked for an itemized receipt in the bag to see if we paid for shrimp or regular eggrolls but there wasn’t one. All the food besides the spicy jumbo shrimp was super bland and no amount of soy sauce could save it.
We don’t often eat out when we’re at the lakehouse as we prefer to grill there but sometimes it’s a nice treat....
Read moreWe stopped by here for lunch after a day spent in Milton. Definitely more of a grab & go vibe, because they gave paper plates & plastic wear. I was definitely in need of some wet wipes at the end of my meal. And it was HOT inside. The thermostat read 81 degrees which was just not comfortable dining temperature. I am very picky with my Chinese food. Everything seemed fairly fresh other than the pork fried rice, which was mushy. Some of the foods had very weird flavors to me such as the crab rangoons, egg rolls, pork fried rice and the general tsos chicken. Everything else was very tasty. I couldn’t try the chicken lo mein because it had mushrooms and I am allergic. I know, I should’ve stated my allergy, but I have never had lo mein with mushrooms in it unless it was a “vegetable” lo mein. It seemed pretty pricey to me as well… The bathroom was very clean and smelled nice! I’ll keep this place in mind when back...
Read moreNew China Pond Restaurant was highly recommended to my nephew, who manages a business, by one of his customers. We decided to try it out based on that strong recommendation. As a chef (not Chinese, but skilled in preparing Chinese cuisine), I expected a better experience. Unfortunately, the food was absolutely terrible. I picked up three different family orders, and none of us could eat the food; it was disappointing that no one had anything positive to say about it. While the staff were personable and polite, that’s the only positive aspect of our visit. This was, without a doubt, the worst Chinese food we have ever had! Plenty of parking as no one was there at dinner time and that should have been...
