Coyote Moon Grille — Restaurant in Minden Township

Had our wedding here almost a year ago now, I reviewed Coyote Moon on a wedding website but figured google is more common so I wanted to review here too. The venue was wonderful, easy to work around their already neutral but beautiful decor! The inside and outside are perfect for photos and if the weather permits you’re given a couple golf carts to go out and take advantage of the golf course. We had a late October wedding so we weren’t able to but that was an us problem! Andrea did an amazing job coordinating the whole thing and our meetings with her were short, sweet and to the point but definitely touched base on everything we needed to know. Both my husband and I work nights (then and now) and being able to communicate through email, and promptly, was a big plus for us! She was able to recommend outside services such as photographers and DJ’s however we were lucky enough to have family all over the wedding industry and managed to rope free/cheap services! Food was perfect and the open bar was easy to handle with a top dollar put on it. Great communication through the event as well AND myself and the other ladies of the bridal party were offered food and beverage throughout set up the day before and getting ready the day of. There is space for the party to get ready but it is small. It was perfect for us with our small wedding party though. I've always enjoyed going to Coyote Moon. Wonderful food, nice atmosphere and willing to take a reservation for any number of people large or small. The reason for my 3 stars, is not for the quality, it's about the customer service I received a few weeks ago.

I reached out by phone about a week and a half ago to see about their Easter options for a small family of 5 of us total. When I got through to the person on the other end, it sounded like he was inconvenienced by my call. I was a bit taken aback as whenever I have called to make a reservation, people are always fairly warm and friendly. I asked if they had an Easter Brunch buffet. Before I could even finish asking the question, he blurted at me that they were entirely full and wouldn't be taking anymore reservations. I politely told him, that I asked IF they had an Easter buffet brunch. His response was, "we do, but walk ins will be turned away as we are booked." I then wanted to ask if they were open for dinner as I could change our plans around a bit, but he hustled me off the phone so fast, I didn't even get to ask.

For the quality of the food and atmosphere, I would recommend some phone etiquette training for those who are answering the phone. I'm a good customer, I tip 20 to 25% usually or more and I love great food and drinks. However, this was enough to turn me off from trying to reserve anything moving forward. I was in a wedding here and first and foremost I think the actions of one person should not deflect the entire establishment, because the person i spoke to days after the wedding was the reason you don't have 5 stars across the board because really everything and everyone who helped or worked durring the wedding was AMAZING. FOOD AMAZING, BARTENDERS THAT DAY AND NIGHT AMAZING, THE EVENT DIRECTOR AMAZING. NOW DAYS LATER... the clean up crew had left my decorations out there so I had called to see if they were still out there and If i could come get them, I got ughhhhh ummmmm when we're you here n what is it you THINK your picking up???.... ugh um hold. Short time she comes back on and says whatis it so I named off my items she cuts off and says yeah when will you be here. I say 15 mins she says yup and hangs up. Now I have a 15 min drive to calm down before I get there and if the girl who helped me when I got there was the same girl I talked yo on the phone she must of realized she probably shouldn't of tr3ared me like she did for literally zero reason she was however very polite and pleasant when I arrived I don't want anyone to get introukble because we all have bad days but just try and breathe a little bit before jumping at someone for simply just trying to pick up...
