Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Minden

If I could leave negative stars, I would. I received an order totaling about $45 on Friday, September 24, 2021, via DoorDash. The food arrived promptly and still warm. However, the fries were old, like stale old, and you could tell that the chicken tenders were not fresh either. The fries were ridiculous though. This is the type of service I receive after paying $45? My first thought was to contact Dairy Queen and then DoorDash. I spoke with a young lady first that was very disrespectful and argumentative. She refused to even allow me to voice my concerns. She and another lady in the background were laughing at my concerns and continued talking over me. They were insisting that it was DoorDash's fault even after explaining that the food was prompt and warm, but it was old and of very poor quality and taste. They continued to laugh and to my surprise the lady laughing in the background claimed to be the manager and owner. She took the phone and was just as ignorant and unprofessional as her subordinate. She stated that her name was Jennifer. After further investigation on my part, I found out that her name is Jennifer Avery and her husband is Chad Avery, whom inherited the business from his father. I visited this Dairy Queen today and I must say this has been my worst DQ experience this far! I work in food service so I am familiar with protocol and how things are run. Guest experience is, and always should be number 1!! If a guest is unhappy with a minor issue, the staff should be more than willing to fix it for free. I ordered a medium M&M blizzard. When I received it there was chocolate syrup mixed in. I asked for a replacement without the chocolate syrup and was told I would have to pay for it. I was willing to exchange the ice cream, but it is absurd that I would have to pay for an additional ice cream because I did not want the first one that I had not eaten from. I asked if I could get a refund, but they don't do refunds. So basically, if you have an issue with your food its your problem. The staff and management will not try to resolve the issue. All they care about is making an extra dollar. It's a shame that good customer service is hard to come by. I will not recommend this establishment to anyone else in the Minden area. Please save your money and find somewhere else where your satisfaction is...

The food was hot and very tasty. The inside of the restaurant was clean small but clean outside is clean and more than enough parking plenty of parking a little hard to get into sometimes but there’s plenty of parking. I only have one issue with these with this Dairy Queen store.!! I work graveyards I go to work at 10 PM. I work maybe a block and a half from my house. So I walk to work so I can save on gas. Dairy Queen This store is literally right across the street from my house. I have ordered online from them several times and don’t really have an issue! But when I try to order at night so I could pick it up on my way to work. So I can have some kind of dinner!! But this Dairy Queen is doing what they can to make sure if I want to eat out for dinner. Don’t try to do it around here because you place an order you’re not able to pick it up unless you were in a vehicle they close the dining room like an hour before you close And go through drive-through unless you were in a car so I guess I just don’t get to eat.
