I ordered during off peak hours, early for dinner, yet hospitality was welcoming and gracious. The restaurant is average appearance on the outside, considering small town vibes. However, inside I was surprised to see the large dining areas and plenty of room to sit and enjoy a family gathering without the tables or chairs being too close to other tables or potential patrons. I’ve ordered take out and dine in. I think I prefer dine in, which is unusual for me to say. The take out was great, yet going out to dine as a table “for one” has a welcoming vibe here. If you know, you understand what I mean. I wasn’t asked… “just you” “only you” or “table for ONE” and frankly, getting to chat with the owner was delightful. My favorite part of my dining experience is when I pulled out my change jars to pay for my meal. I felt like I was a burden for paying with coins, yet… he welcomed my cash coins, noting that it absolutely helped him out in his business, because he had not made it to the bank for “change” so I sold him all my change… this is the type of business owner I was to support and bring my authentic self in to share my meal with the establishment. I was an early bird eater, with a pocket full of change, and I was not judged… I was welcomed! Support this business, the food taste and flavor is spot on, grab a quick meal entree and take home to your family… my next visit I will examine the menu for sauce and extras for meal prep options for this solo foodie. A pint of sauce, noodles, even uncooked pizza dough… these options are widely common in upstate New York, I’d recommend buying freshly made here over the grocery store prepped or frozen options. Make your meal with a little help from Anconna!
Good eats and quick meals are the go to for many families… I enjoyed the chicken parmigiana for two meals… the freshness and best made chicken parmigiana I’ve ever had (I’m an eggplant parmigiana person)… generally the chicken gets over fried and this one had a nice crunch, yet tender chicken breast… not an easy task!

Read moreGood food, extensive menu selection. Very clean, and the bathrooms were clean as well. This building was a diner before it became this restaurant, and it is still very roadside diner in atmosphere. So, bright lighting, checkered tablecloths. Not much in the atmosphere department, no candlelit tables or mood lighting, but the food is excellent. Prices are good too, for what you receive. A lot of the entrees come with a side salad. Great bread is brought to the table before your meal. Service was solid, but a little rushed. I did see that they were hiring, maybe shorthanded at the moment. Had the Limoncello cake for dessert, it was scrumptious. I am giving it a four star only because the atmosphere could be improved, but the owners may do this over time. Very nice addition to Quitman's...
Read moreThe first time at this restaurant it was suggested by a couple of family members that live or are near town. There were 8 of us, and the restaurant was not busy at all. Ordered a couple of Apps. Fried Calamari and Mozzarella sticks, both were hot and fresh! I always order my go-to dish at a new Italian restaurant, Chicken Marsala. It came out hot and fresh, the only problem was the chicken was cut up, so it made it dry, but the sauce was good! Tried my wife's shrimp scampi, and it was really good! Shrimp were big pieces and tasted fresh! The bread they gave was plan and dry! It would probably be better if it was heated up a little. Other family members ordered pizza, and it looked good. We will try the restaurant again when we are back...
