Oak Ridge Restaurant — Restaurant in Mineola

We may have went on an off day, but food was lackluster for the most part. The building itself is cute and seems to have great potential - nice views of the lake. When we went, they were out of chicken, jalepeno poppers, and hush puppies. The mozzarella sticks were served on a platters with most of the room taken up by the ranch - there were only FOUR cheese sticks for $8! $2/stick! I thought we'd at least get 8? My brisket was extremely dry - tasted like it was several days old and had been reheated. My brother in law's catfish still had the skin on it. Gross. The plate presentation could definitely be improved upon as several of the ppl in our group just had gaping holes on the plate where it seemed like food should have been - for the prices I just expect better quality or at least quantity. My husband says he did however enjoy the ribs. Like I said, hoping this was just an off day...

I'm very sad to say this, whenever we come to lake fork ( my wife and I are property owners and are here at least 10-15 times a year) we eat at this restaurant, many times with our whole family (10 of us) but this morning the very young lady that waited on us had a very bad attitude and was snippy with my wife when asked about our order and why it was taking so long... all she had to say was they had only had one cook for the day instead of telling my wife she didn't appreciate her..." I don't appreciate your tone, would you like to talk to management".... We no longer had service, I had to refill our coffee myself and was basically left to fend for ourselves...We've spent a lot of time and money in this place, leaving very generous tips for our large party (20-30 dollars each time! ) we will never step for in this...

Atmosphere was unremarkable, owner?/manager was beyond rude. WAY beyond. I have worked service industry for decades and can't recall ever treating anyone the way she does. Nor have I ever been loudly berated by wait staff. Actual server was fine and sweet. Food was good but I wouldn't go back if they were giving it away with winning...
