Me, my husband, and 2 friends went to eat here tonight. It was hands down the worst experience any of us have ever had at a restaurant. Waited 10-15 minutes to even be acknowledged or seated even though they weren’t busy. We ordered chicken Alfredo, chicken noodle soup, a small pizza, and Stromboli. The chicken Alfredo came with a side salad that was just lettuce drowned in the rancid ranch. Food started coming out but we never got the chicken Alfredo and the waitresses never came back to check on us or refill our drinks. The chicken soup was just green liquid with chicken chunks and honestly smelled like my baby’s diaper. The Stromboli was pure salt and we’ve had better pizza out of a box at Walmart. After waiting 30 minutes for the waitress to come back to say we were missing a meal, she said she got confused about us ordering a chicken soup and Alfredo?? I don’t even understand what kind of excuse that is. She said she’d get the kitchen to make it but it’s take at least 20 more minutes. We told her to not even worry about it as the rest of the table had already ate/ or didn’t eat their meal.(the soup was tasted and spit out it was so bad) waited forever again for our checks and immediately handed her our cards when she brought them. We then watch her just lean against the bar for 15 minutes before bringing out cards back. We asked for a Togo box for the Stromboli so the person who didn’t eat good at least get something on their stomach at home and she brought back the tiniest box possible were we had to fold and mutilate the food to cram it in there. We will never return to this place again. We trusted the 4.5 stars and we were all excited for a double date night and it was ruined by terrible food and god...
Read moreVery mixed reviews on this place. Neighbors drove us 45 minutes to get here. Seemed like quaint little Italian place. Wait staff was nice and helpful. Food was generally good. We shared the Artichoke Spinach Dip as an appetizer, with bread. We were brought our "side salads", which were pretty skimpy, some iceberg lettuce with 1 slice of tomato and 3 little slices of olives (no other vegs etc?) My hub had Lobster ravioli, he loved (which was actually inside ravioli vs bits in a sauce) I had Chicken Parm, which was one of the best I've had, but didn't care for spaghetti. We shared the chocolate mousse cake for dessert. Very rich, glad we ordered the "chocolate sauce" on the side because it was clearly Hersey's from the bottle (which the cake didn't need). .... Altho food was generally good and prices were good as well, I was shocked to find this BYOB. I've never in my life experienced a restaurant being BYOB! Very disappointed to not be able to order a glass of wine with my dinner (unless I'd known and brought my own) Also the plastic plates and cups- just felt cheap to eat off of, especially the cheap blue tumblers for drinks. And didn't care for country music playing in an Italian restaurant. I don't believe there were any gluten free...
Read moreOur first visit to Verona’s Italian restaurant. We called in before going and asked if they had a gluten menu. A lady said they had a gluten free pizza and pasta. We arrived and the young hostess hardly said hello. She threw the menus on the table and left. Our server came and was very nice. We asked if she could confirm that they could cook our daughter’s meal and not cross contaminate the food. She at first said yes and then we asked if she could make sure. She left and came back. She reported that whoever was in charge ignored her. She was very apologetic and advised that she couldn’t promise that it wouldn’t be cross contaminated. Our family of 5 decided that we should leave. We felt as if we weren’t important enough for the manager or cook to confirm he could cook one meal separately. We would have been happy to pay and tip very favorably. The food on all the customers tables looked great. Perhaps they were overwhelmed. There were lots of signs up; HELP...
