Dollar Cone — Restaurant in Mineral Springs

Been coming here for a while (even when they were in their old location) and am always happy. They have a variety of treats on their menu (big fan of the upside down banana split), some premade goodies in their freezer and the ability to make your own cone/sundae from their toppings selection.

Big fan of Death by Chocolate - but do yourself a favor and splurge on the Peanut Butter sauce as an add on - thank me later. The ladies who are usually in there are always upbeat and know me by name (apparently, I go a lot).

There are some simple games like Jenga and Uno you can play free of charge. The place is clean with indoor and outdoor seating.

And... AND... Farley's (one of the best if not THE best pizza place in the area) is literally 3 doors down. You can really make dinner and dessert plans with minimal effort... not that I have ever done that... shhhh....

Seriously though......

My boyfriend and I finally went to Dollar Cone and I ordered the chocolate covered cheesecake and I expected a full slice of cheesecake like the old location/ownership had but I received a circle shaped piece of cheesecake which was disappointing since it was the same price as the before cheesecake from before ($7) but it was still good. My boyfriend got a cherry dip ice cream as he’s been looking for somewhere to serves cherry dip (he loves cherry dip) and he didn’t really like it because it tasted artificial and neither did I but I’m also not a red cherry person. He tried the cherry dip at the old location and he prefers that one. We both agreed the atmosphere wasn’t the best, there was a good amount of people in there but it was quiet so it felt awkward but service was very good, the wait wasn’t too long and the lady...

Loving the new location. Great ice cream options and they even have a non-dairy option. The only drawbacks at this point are that the service is a bit slow, which I think will improve with time and experience and that the coffee shop business (separately owned) wasn't open when we stopped in today. The staff was friendly and the location has a great feel with one side having a mature, coffee shop feel and the other side having the fun, bright ice cream shop feel. We were regulars at the old location and will support both of these business going forward. Go check out Dollar Cone! They still have a $1 ice cream cone option for those of us...
