I had to put at least one star to leave a review but in all reality I give this place zero Stars ..I went there this morning with my mother and sister for breakfast and we walked inside and I realize that I had brought in my travel mug with me that had my water in it I'm so used to carrying it in with me everywhere I go that I didn't even realize I had just carried it right on in with me. Well we sat down at the table not thinking that it was that big of a deal Well then the man comes up to us to get our drinks and he sees my cup and instead of politely asking us to take it back out to are car he rudely and I mean not just rudely but in a very meanly way told us that we needed to take it out to our car or we was getting no service no food because he's trying to run a business here and he can't make money if people bring in their own stuff and pursue to say you can't do that and other businesses and says that there's a sign before you even come in that that's not allowed. I apologize to him and I told him that I did not see any sign and I didn't mean to bring it in it was just a force of habit but he was still rude and mean and my mom asked well can I put it under the table and he said no take it out or no service. So my mom took it out to the car and then came back in and sat down well we thought that it was over and we just let it go then he comes back over and he asked for our drinks and everything and pursues to still be rude about it and and mean and again I apologize that I didn't mean to disrespect anything it's just out of force of habit but he didn't want to hear anything he was just being very rude and ugly about it and my mom and my sister had ordered a tea and a coffee but because the man was being rude still and very ugly he wasn't just speaking to us he was speaking so loudly that everybody in the restaurant at that time could hear him so me and my mom and my sister decided just to get up and leave before he even brought the coffee or tea out because of his actions in the way he was being and on our way out he's pursues to yell at us and say I guess I'll have to pay for that tea and coffee too he hadn't even have brought it out yet it was just all the way around awful and it was just absolutely uncalled for and no reason to be like that at all when I had already apologized more than once but he just would not let it go so we got up and we left I don't know if this man was the owner or just a server there but I do know that it was completely unprofessional and he should never ever treat anybody like that ever I know that me and my family will not ever be going back and I hope nobody else ever has to...
Read moreWhat a pleasant find this place was. A jem in the rough for sure. We were traveling through, I had to pee, and my husband was hungry, so I picked the next place up the road, and it just happened to be Mingo's. I ordered the Zucchini planks for an appetizer, and I swear I got the whole Zucchini !! Definitely enough for two. Cooked to golden perfection, served with parmesean cheese. Delicious. My husband ordered one of the specials. A chicken bacon ranch hoagie. Omgoodness. It and the fries made up a huge portion of what my husband said was pure delight. He only managed to eat half, but he wasn't willing to leave the other half behind, so that says something for him. I got the fish nugget meal, and again, I ate half and took half home. I am super picky about my coleslaw, and I swear I could have eaten just that it was so good !! Crisp and saucy, just like Mama made !!! The gentleman who waited on us, maybe the owner, but if not, certainly a man who takes pride in his job/establishment was great. Overall, I recommend this place 100%. Do not let the sketch/industrial area keep you from stopping in. It's clean, spacious, and delightful. You will NOT be...
Read moreWOW 😀😀😀😀 I LOVE THIS DINER!!! Our First visit, Home Cooked Food!! Plenty of it, Great Service! Brewed sweet tea, A mountainous roast beef sandwich, green beans made like my Grandma's. AWESOME service and great prices. It's worth the drive! It's a clean and neatly kept roadside diner on the old Route 7 just below Weirton WV. I saved the best for last . . . . . . Demas !! The owner of this diner is a man that you would see portrayed in a movie. My wife was impressed by his looks, but his personality of genuine care combined with Clint Eastwood with a sarcastic humor is incredibly endearing. He makes his customers feel welcomed and appreciated, a rare trait. There's pictures of hundreds of his customers smiling on the dining room wall. It's a Great Diner, with a personality all it's own. We can't wait to go back again! I Very Highly Recommend this...
