Westwood Marina — Restaurant in Minnesota

Absolute worst service we've ever experienced. We drove our boat up to the dock and stepped onto the dock that was completely covered in bird droppings. We instructed our little ones to keep their shoes on and try to dodge the fresh stuff without falling in the lake. Once on the patio, we chose a table and waited, and waited, and waited for a wait staff to acknowledge us. Meanwhile, three other parties came, sat, and were waited on. After a half hour, and as we watched the other three parties get their drinks and food, we finally got our drinks and placed our orders. Then we waited, and waited, and waited .... again. There was no update on our food order, and there was no offer to refill our drinks. After an hour and a half of waiting, I tracked down our server, who was chit chatting with another server and the cook. I told her we were leaving, and her response was, "Oh, I was just going to bring you your food." (Really?!!) Our food was sitting on a counter, cooling off while they had their conversation. We left and will never be back AND never recommend to any of our friends. This place could be such a gem on Lake Washington, but it's nothing but tired, rundown, and over expensive for the mediocre food and terrible service. Don't waste your time or money. It's...

We waited for fifteen minutes while several sections around us were served. No less than four tables in our immediate vicinity were ignored completely. We watched at least one table sit down, get up, and then leave after not receiving service. It doesn't really matter what the food tastes like if you never get the opportunity to order. Most of the burgers don't even include basic toppings like lettuce and tomato, we watched another table receive their order in absolute confusion at the solitary slab of beef. Make sure you read carefully. Lettuce, tomato, onions, they are all extras that you may or may not receive if your waitress takes the order correctly. The only child in our party ordered a pizza, which was delivered long after our own entres. The pizza was clearly a frozen party style which was priced more expensively than many hand made pizzas at an actual pizza place. The outdoor deck is starting to fall apart and we watched an elderly couple have their waitress explain the physical hazards of the location they had chosen. The service and food were so disappointing that I nearly forgot we were sitting next to a picturesque Lake. Clearly this restaurant is suffering from being an only child on the lake. We will...

So I purchased a very nice boat hoping to fish regularly but the size was way more than I needed. Winds were crazy coming in alone and 2 great guys helped guide me in and invited me to sit with them and have a beer. I would also like to add there was a delicious crock pot of chip dip open for everyone to enjoy via the not in front of it. I asked if it was a restaurant provided amenity and my server said no, just a regular here sharing her recipe with others. Anyone would be lucky to dock, eat or in my case need a little help and a beer to make my day on the lake Feel great.
