My mother and I went here to see what they had. I am always one for good barbecue and had tasted the best from Memphis to Chicago. To say this was a disappointment would be an understatement. The service left a lot to be desired and the people working didn't seem as interested in serving customers as they were in having their private conversations. I ordered the rib and tip combo which came with corn bread and chips(never got the chips). The meal I received was so bad I ended up throwing 95% of it away and went home and made a sandwich. The rib tip were not tips, but just rib sawed into pieces and serve with bone in. The meat was so tuff I felt I was eating beef jerky not barbecue. The corn bread I got was served to me in a zip lock bag which makes me question its freshness and all I was able to taste the excessive amount of baking soda and I should know because I am a professional pastry chef. First time trying here. And it was so worth it. We ordered ribs and chicken quarter combo and then a ribs and chicken breast combo. They were out of the leg quarters so we both ended up with the chicken breast combos. My husband don't eat much white meat but we both were very impressed with this chicken. The ribs and chicken were smoked and cooked well. Just the perfect smoked flavor and then bar b que sauce was oh my goodness. It was so good and I will definitely be going back. I have tried lots of BBQ places and this was better then a lot of places that have had lots and lots of public TV recommendations. This food really is good for the soul. The rib tips, kielbasa, and pulled pork are all excellent. Mishawaka is overdue for a good BBQ joint. The building and drive thru is pretty small but, hey, that’s okay, it just makes the experience more personable. I love how they’ve fixed up the building and brought some new life to this area of town. The staff is so friendly and the restaurant is clean. You just can’t beat the smell and the authenticity of the smokers going right outside. I’m looking forward to making this a regular lunch stop. I also can’t wait to try the...
