Champs Sports Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Mishicot

We are staying at the Fox Hills condos at the Par 5 Golf Resort in Mishicot, WI - We have eaten at Champs Bar and Grill on State St 4 times during the week that we have been here because the restaurant at the resort has been open sporadically. The food at Champs has been good each time. The service at Champs is TERRIBLE and the attitude of the servers is unapologetic for the substandard service. Champs has been consistently busy when we have been there and subsequently has also been loud. We are consistently generous tippers but the poor service and poor attitude of the servers at Champs has kept us from tipping generously. In addition, we are a bi-racial couple and having experienced the dismissive attitude of the servers at Champs in this northern Wisconsin community near Green Bay, we have decided that our money is apparently not important to them and we will not be back. The 1st time here was fairly well. I sat down to eat on a Saturday about 1pm with my family. I ordered jerk dry rub chicken wings, enjoyed it all. Everyone else ate their food as well. The bartender took out order & held pleasant conversations with us. 2nd time I ate here, I tried to call in an order. It was very difficult to find the phone number on google, in fact, I couldn't find it at all. I had to look on Facebook. I called once & the line just rang. I called back a few minutes later, someone answered, but the line had a lot of static. I managed to place my order & was told 15-20 minutes. Food was right on time. Service was ok. We brought our food home to eat. My husband had a 1/2# bacon cheeseburger that he says was dried out & over cooked. I had jerk dry rub chicken wings with a side of hot honey garlic. However, I wasn't given the honey garlic, but something else that was spicy. My chicken lacked the dry rub seasoning & chicken was just a little dry, too. This wasn't like my 1st experience here. Sunday, stopped for lunch at 1:30 pm in hopes of watching the Fed Ex cup final PGA event. Waited at least 40 minutes on food and ordered the broasted chicken special. On 10 of 11 screens the Brewers, the other screen was NFL preseason. I asked about getting 1 screen to the golf tournament. I was there approximately 2 hours and no one was able to make golf happen on 1 of 9 screens. Not enough staff to handle the amount of people and not all tables were full. No one accounted for the 1st baseball tournament at the complex in town. The food was good once received. However, if I go again I will definitely ask some questions before ordering anything and staying. 1. What is the wait time on ordering food? 2. Is there someone working who knows how to and has time to change a channel to a specific sports program? I am always intrigued when I go to a "Sports Bar" and not able to watch...
