4/23/2025 Had a wonderful dining experience at Terrace on the Green this morning. Jeannine, the hostess had a warm welcoming smile and seated me at a lovely high top near one of the fireplace. Danny was my server extraordinare assisted by the lovely Talia. Both provided excellent customer service and were quite professional. I ordered a cup of coffee with the farmer's omelet without the potatoes and toast. I ordered a side of sausage and also had sausage added into the omelet and then sliced tomatoes. Yummy. A wonderful view, good background tunes and great people. I highly recommend this cozy and amazing location for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Thanks to the staff! People who love their job are always smiling and you can see that at TOTG. 👏

3/12/2024 Had a wonderful breakfast at Terrace on the Green today. The hostess was quite welcoming, and we were seated at a nice high top table in the patio area. The patio ceiling heaters were so comfy. Our server Laurie was spectacular in all aspects of customer service. We started with coffee, juice, and hot water. Laurie returned with our beverages and took our order. My wife had the two egg combo with potatoes, turkey sausage, and sourdough toast, and I ordered the farmer's omelets with sliced tomorrow. Both dishes were well prepared, presented, and quite tasty. We had a pleasant conversation with our server, Laurie, who was kind and friendly. I would love to see this wonderful restaurant on Open Table as so many foodies would love the quality ingredients and dishes that they may not know about. Highly recommended.

9/12/2023 Went for a nice walk this morning and landed at Terrace On The Green for breakfast. I was greeted by Lily, who provided stellar service and was a joy to talk to. I ordered the farmers' omelet with sliced tomatoes and a cup of black coffee. The breakfast was wonderful, as was the ambiance. I finished breakfast and continued my morning walk. Recommended.

6/4/2023 Had a terrific sunset dinner at Terrace on the Green tonight. Our favorite server, Sierra, helped us with our dining experience and just lights up the place with her amazing personality. We started with drinks and shared the wedge salad. This place is so nice and truly a hidden gem. Sierra took our main entree order, and each ordered the salmon tacos, which are utterly the best around. The chefs prepare amazing dishes, and we just love this place. If you are hungry and around Marguerite and Costa Del Sol, you must stop by and try this fantastic establishment. Ask for Sierra as she lights up the place! Great food, service, and ambiance!! Highly recommended 5/29/2023 Went for a nice 2 hr walk today and had reservations for Terrace on the Green at 2:30 pm. Lily was our server, and what a positive vibe and outlook besides being professional, helpful, and attentive. We started with the wedge salad and some drinks made by Tim, our favorite bartender. We then ordered a few entrees with salmon tacos and a Margherita pizza. Both entrees were quite tasty and well presented. The ambiance is so peaceful and nurturing and the food, service, and people top shelf. It is truly a hidden gem here in the heart of Mission Viejo! It's a must try for all you foodies and fellow yelpers! Highly recommended. 5/28/2023 My wife and I went on a wonderful 2 hr walk this morning and landed at Terrace On the Green for breakfast. We were greeted by the lovely hostess who was warm and welcoming and were seated by Paul the GM, a wonderful and kind gentleman and terrific host. We ordered breakfast with both of us requesting the farm fresh omelets, and they are amazing. Kennedy, our gracious server, came and checked on us, delivered our entrees, and was very professional, kind, and caring. The breakfast was delicious, and the ambiance was fantastic as we were surrounded by lush greenery and a beautiful golf course setting....

What a shame. We come to this restaurant with our service dog (a small pug) she's our service dog and a senior at the age of 13. She sits in a chair next to me wherever we go. We have been to this restaurant many times with no issue as our dog is quiet, causes no issues with anyone. In fact, she brings more joy than anything to everyone around her.

This time in particular, as soon as we sat down Ricardo, who looks like a cook, came rushing over to us telling us our dog needs to be on a leash. No hello, how are you guys doing, no greeting whatsoever, just she needs to be on a leash, and needs to be on the ground. She needs to be next to me at all times. Not on the floor. We have her own chair she sits in and can easily be placed away from anything of Ricardo's concern. I told him this is our service dog, she goes everywhere with us, including here, many, many times. I'm sad that Ricardo ruined this for us and our family and friends. We came here 3 times a week and would tell our friends and family all about it as well.

We will no longer be coming here and that's a shame over something that didn't need to happen. Shame on you Ricardo. There are better way to go about this and it's a shame you were trained correctly, and if you were trained correctly and did this, even more of a shame on you. I will be filing a complaint at California Civil Rights...

Recently,we visited Café Terrace on the Green to celebrate attracted by the beautiful view. Unfortunately, the service and food quality were extremely disappointing.

First, all the dishes seemed very similar, as if the same dish was simply presented in different ways. The presentation varied, but essentially, it was the same dish. Second, we ordered tea and coffee, and the water used for them tasted as if it hadn’t been boiled properly.

Additionally, on a day when the temperature was 91°F, we asked for water. After we had closed our bill, the waiter refused to bring a simple glass of water for our child. This is completely unacceptable, especially on such a hot day, to deny a child free water.

It is evident that the manager and waitstaff need training in courtesy and customer service. From the very first minute, the waitstaff displayed poor behavior, unable to bring water, frequently forgetting utensils like forks and spoons, and requiring multiple requests to fulfill basic needs. There was also a noticeable unfriendly attitude towards Asians.

Overall, the poor service and subpar food greatly detract from the otherwise lovely setting of this café. I hope the management addresses these...
