Me and my family decided to go to a new place today and we saw this unique spot on Canal Street called the blue Bayou when we walked in. It was A beautiful atmosphere when we walked in and the customer service was five star I asked the server what was good on the menu and she immediately said that y’all chargrilled oysters and the alligator bites When we got the oysters, hands-down, the best I’ve had since I’ve been living in the city normally some places, the oysters still be having little shells in the oyster still and I didn’t have to worry about that with these baby I have to say they know what they are doing And the food oh my God The redfish was cooked perfect everything was delicious on my plate. I tried some of my friends Mardi Gras pasta. I will be getting it next time we come here and my mom‘s are the Poboy looked so delicious. I was quite disappointed in the fact that you cannot choose your own side for any of the meals, and you are charged an additional $9 for the side you'd prefer, despite already paying $35-$50+ for your meal. The steak lacked flavor; and the toast served with the "crab dip" was incredibly salty. The "crab dip" was nothing more than a bit of lump crab meat covered in a queso dip from a cheap Mexican restaurant. Their website boasts an open kitchen, however, other than our walk to our table, we never saw it, despite having a reservation made well in advance.
