If you are looking for a place with mama's cooking then Bovina Cafe is the spot to choose. Serving breakfast and lunch from 5:00 AM to 2:30 PM. The price for breakfast is five dollars and lunch is twelve dollars, but be prepared to bring cash or check because they don't accept debit or credit cards. The quantity of food is crazy compared to the price. Breakfast includes two eggs, one meat, grits, a biscuit or toast, and a drink, and the best thing about it is all that food for $5! (Lunch) at 12:30pm the main entree is out... it was catfish that I'll never get to talk about. The string beans taste as if poured straight from the can. The Mac & cheese had very little cheese to mention. The turnip greens, out! Creamed corn, nah... Lima beans, ok... I'm a big guy that loves food and really hard to disappoint, but this place was a disappointment for lunch.
