One can't go wrong with great food at a reasonable price. I can only review on items that I have experienced, and so far that has been the burger, fries and fried oysters. Let me get any negative aspects out the way first. The parking is average and can be challenging if it's busy. The price can be a little more than a standard diner or cafe. But I will gladly pay a little bit more for an excellent experience. The burgers are made fresh since they ground their own beef. Wayne is an absolute master on the grill and his years of experience are quite noticeable and appreciated by this reviewer. Next, the oysters are full of flavor and made to perfection by Anna. She takes the time to remember customer's names and how they prefer their food prepared. Joe's Cafe is one of those gems that the locals know of and only share it's location with those that appreciate really good home cooked food. But if you desire a less expensive burger slapped together and void of love, McDonalds is just down the street. They are happy to serve you mediocre food that is way too expensive for its quality. Thank you for...
Read moreThe food is great, but evidently they gravely misunderstood my jingle about my opinion of mayonnaise. I really am sorry the words to my jingle offended you, but my actual words were that I would throw it away if it had mayo on it, not that I would throw it in the employee's face. It was just a cute jingle and not meant to be disrespectful. Refusing any further orders from me is extreme; I was only trying to make it unique so that they would remember, since previously I did receive a burger with mayo, despite requesting no mayo, and I had to throw it away because the smell of mayo makes me sick. I didn't mean to be offensive, and being told that I was has left me shattered. I'm just going to leave you with the Facebook post I made right after the exchange just so that you'll know I'm sincere. You won't hear...
Read moreA friend told me about this place and highly recommended it. So we went by to get a burger for dinner. The place is small, so if it's busy you might have to wait a bit. Most of the customers were picking up for take out. We did get lucky and a table was open. We each ordered a burger combo ( fries and a drink ), and I ordered a side of fried pickles. Words cannot express how good the burgers were! I'm talking fresh ground beef, hand made patties. The fries were crispy. And the fried pickles were to die for. Barq's Root Beer to wash it all down. They have a variety of burgers and platters, and also have daily specials. I know one thing, whenever I want a burger, I'm going to Joe's! I can't reccomend this...
