Kent's Catfish — Restaurant in Mississippi

Me and my wife tried Kent’s for the first time last night. They were extremely busy, we waited a bit to be sure we could get in, and during our time there, there were some people who had to wait for seating as well - but it is worth the wait if you like some good fish! I had the fish plate, my wife had a chicken tender plate. The fish was quite good quality, the hush puppies were very tasty, the slaw was apparently homemade, and even the tartar sauce was homemade. My wife enjoyed her chicken, and we were impressed that it seemed her Texas toast was made with homemade bread! Service was good, everyone was kind, and the whole meal only cost $26 for us both. I had seen that this place was highly recommended, but when I put it in our GPS, we ended up at their old location beside Smiths nursery (which was obviously vacant). Horrible experience !! Will not be back. We got there at the time they opened and waited so long to be seated in a small area of about 10 people so that the “servers could catch up and take orders as the ppl were seated” (COVID still active people) Our order was so messed up on a very basic menu because there was a lack of communication between the wait staff and the kitchen. Food was being sent to the wrong tables. They brought half of my husbands order out while we waited about 30 minutes for them to get everything straightened out. The stuffed crab I ordered was burnt on top and frozen in the middle. The parking lot has no parking spaces so everyone just parked wherever and made it almost...

The food looked good but had no seasoning at all. The potato salad looked and tasted like mashed potatoes. The bake beans were just porn n beans with a lot of brown sugar and uncooked sausage. The fish was beautiful in color and looked like it would taste delicious; however, looks can be misleading because it had no flavor at all. The best thing on the plate were the hushpuppies. The needed corn in them but they were ok. The server was extremely nice and attentive. She did notice I failed to eat my food and asked if I wanted a carry out 20 minutes before we were ready to go.
