I dont normally take the time to rate restaurants on here...but this creole inspired Cafe deserves everything and more! First off, the atmosphere in the Cafe itself is just incredible, from thr pictures on the walls, to the decor, to the rustic style kitchen, they all blend seamlessly together to create an authentic Cajun style dining experience. The portions are mind blowing! I may have actually made a mistake by ordering two main courses because I wanted to try two different things. There's no way I'm going to be able to finish these meals this week. Let alone in one sitting, am I complaining? Absolutely not! The food was delicious, probably the best gumbo I've ever had. The prices....unbeatable in fact when I received my order, I firmly believed that the Chef made a mistake with my order. But no...they are just that mind-boggling large, and incredibly tasty and delicious. The owner is probably one of the nicest ladies I've ever met in my life and is the epitome of southern hospitality. Overall if I could give it more stars I would..This place definitely deserves more attention and is well worth any troubles when considering your next place to...
Read moreI was looking for “boudin” and Louisiana Sisters’ popped up on google search. I called first to ask about the boudin…they get it from Lafayette LA. First time I called (2 weeks ago) they were out; today they had some. I made sure they were open before driving out (I don’t depend on the web for hours of business; hours any place now days may not be accurate on the web so I call first). Got my boudin, it’s was great. 2 side come with the plate: I got red beans n rice & chicken etouffe, both were really good; they also give you garlic bread. Everything I got was delicious!!! Wish they had not been out of bread pudding. I will definitely be back to Louisiana Sisters. If you want some authentic New Orleans Cajun cuisine, do yourself a favor and give them a call. Awesome food and you can’t beat the customer service…great food….large portions…reasonable prices…and amazingly...
Read moreWhat an awesome experience. Very small (cozy) little place outside the Shelby South Gate. Honest Cajun food. The ladies were amazing. Friendly. Funny. The servings are huge. The prices are very low for what you get. Everything is scratch made, in house. I went with about a dozen friends and no one had any complaints other than needing a nap after eating everything. The bread pudding will make you want to slap yo mamma.
If you leave this little hole in the wall hungry, it’s your fault for not eating what you...
