My friend and I have been to your Denny's twice in the last month and both times we have had issues with our orders. Both times we went were there have only been about fifteen to twenty other customers each time so being busy was not the problem. The first time, our waitress was a middle aged woman who was not very nice. She came to our table, brought our drinks after we ordered those and gave us no attention. She went back to other tables several times. I had to wave her down from across the room to get more tea. We sat there for a long while after we ordered before we got our food. When we did get our food, she had put in the wrong burger for me. She kept saying that I should just try it. I was not happy and told her that I wasn't a fan of the cheese that this particular burger came with. She just kept saying I should try it and if she needed to she would re-order me something. I felt forced to keep it and I told her that I guess I had to because of how long it took and my friend had to pick up her son soon. The waitress had the audacity to say that she thought that is what I should do. She did say that she could bring me some sauce that the burger I had originally ordered had on it but it wouldn't have tasted good. I told her no. Anyway, I also ordered ranch dressing for my fries which I had to remind her of. We got no other attention until she brought us our check. When I looked at the check, the burger she had put in was more expensive than the original burger I had ordered and the waitress had the audacity to charge me .39 for ranch dressing. I was so mad. Anyway, that was the first time. The second time....we went my friend ordered one of the signature burgers with no onions (she can't stand onions) and I ordered one of their meals with eggs, hashbrowns and biscuits and gravy. The waitress we had this time was very nice but the older waitress who was our waitress the last time brought us our food. My friends burger had onions on it. She put my plate down and said what I ordered and also said with an extra order of eggs. I said that I didn't order the extra eggs and I wasn't going to pay for them . She said that I wouldn't get charged for them. I told her that last time I was here that I got charged for something I didn't order and I wasn't going to pay for them. She kept saying I wouldn't. I wasn't very happy but luckily our current waitress came up and took over and she said she didn't put that in that way so that was a cook error and I wouldn't be charged and I wasn't. My friend didn't say anything about the onions on her burger. I think that the older waitress (I don't know her name) is rude to her customers and if she makes a mistake she should fix it. She argues and forces her opinions on you. Two times our orders have been messed up in the two times we have gone there. It doesn't give me a lot of faith in...
Read moreWe walked in at around 1130. The place was packed and there was a queue. About 10 minutes later people were clearing out, and most of the line was seated.
When we were next to be seated, we waited around another 5-10 minutes to be seated even though there were 3 tables and one booth empty by the hostess stand. We were a party of 2.
After we were seated, we waited around another 5-10 minutes for the waiter, who then took our drinks and order.
We have our drinks. However, it has now been around 45 minutes since we were seated with the place 3/4 empty with no utensils (granted the waiter said that they were so busy they ran out of utensils, but that was over 30 minutes ago), and no food.
1240: Just saw our waiter carrying utensils for a table of 6. Gave us the one extra joking if we wanted to share. It has now been about 30 minutes since the waiter told us that they were out of utensils.
1242: Received the other set of utensils, but still no food.
1247: counted how many tables/booths were occupied. 13 in the whole dining room average party, 4, and still no food.
1253: It has been about an hour since we ordered. I have a pounding headache, my wife is heavily annoyed, but keeping her cool for now.
1254: waiter came by saying that he was going to checked on our order.
1255: Waiter came back saying that he wanted to know what we ordered to make sure it was coming.
1257: The table behind us, party of 4 came in about 15 minutes after us, and just received their food.
1300: Wife is mad. No food, wants to complain openly. Kept her calm for now. Headache getting worse.
1304: A tray of food came to our table, but it was all wrong. The only thing right was my wife's french toast, which she is now scarfing.
Granted I worked for years as a waiter and retail. I have plenty of patience, but I'm about to lose my cool. At least my wife has something to eat.
1310: Thank goodness for coffee. I still have my headache, but at least it is keeping a migraine at bay.
1315: Food arrived. Still wrong, but I have most of my food. Still missing my toast. Wife is still missing one scrambled egg.
1317: Looking over my wife's shoulder. Table behind us has finished their food, and are now leaving.
1318: Toast and scrambled egg arrived on the same plate.
1320: Waiter said he was going to get the manager.
1323: After talking to the manger, manager comped our whole meal after using Mother's Day as an excuse.
1331: Finally leaving after being here for about 2 hours.
I'll let you decide what to do with this...
Read moreMixed Review. We came for Lunch on Christmas day. We were told it would be a 15-20 minute wait. We actually ended up waiting an hour and 20 minutes... even though there were SERVERAL open tables. The general manager could be heard yelling in the gas station hall from the kitchen in the restaurant. The host Kaytie was absolutely incredible. She was so kind and set an example of customer service. Once we finally sat down. Our waitresses Kristina was on top of everything! Before we even had to ask. The food was really good. We came KNOWING we would probably have to sit and wait awhile for our food. That would have been fine. But standing in the hall waiting, when one member of our party is recovering from a knee replacement. We were also holding our 16 month old son and diaper bag. Our 6 year old daughter stood for an hour and 20 minutes when she could have been sitting and coloring on a kids menu. Our Christmas could have been so much more enjoyable had we been able to sit at a table and talk, relax and enjoy the time together while we waited for our food.
I would have given a 5 star review but thanks to the general manger whose name is fred. I cannot. It all could have been remedied by simply letting us sit at our table.
It is sad that the host and our waitress could teach the "general manager" ((((whose name I think is "Fred?"))))) a thing or two about customer service.
I expect more from a manager, especially the general manager.
My best wishes and sincere thanks to Kaytie and Kristina. Y'all were great! You made the experience today better. Merry Christmas! Thank you so much for staying so positive and redeeming our experience...
