We're meeting on weekends to get to the places a lil far out. Kurt and I hit up Porky's Blazin Bar-B-Q yesterday. Alaina, Regina and Chris helped us broaden our orders. The second place in a row for Kurt and I that did not have fries. This is located in Grain Valley. The thing I liked most about it was the bark on the ribs. However, they were a little tough. The brisket was the highlight. The burnt ends were not true burnt ends and also a little tough or dry. The beans were good, in thick sauce. Not sure if their house made? had a little more onion than I would like but not as overpowering as some I have had. The potato salad and coleslaw or unremarkable. I tried the spicy and sweet and spicy sauces. There's something I can't pinpoint that makes it unique. Couldn't decide if I liked the spicy. Definitely didn't like the sweet and spicy; and I didn't try the mild. We paid about a dollar to get the sliced pickle which was perfect . They do not...

Our family has been going to Porky's for the last several years and have always found it to be a reliable and delicious BBQ experience. However, this evening (April 8, 2022), almost all the food in our order has an overwhelming sweetness to it. I feel like I paid $70 for a pound of sugar.

Turkey: had a nice smoky, savory flavor as it should--no problems. Pulled Pork: holy sugar Batman-honestly, this was horrible as it was dowsed in some amber-colored sauce that was waaaaaaaaay too sweet. Keep the sweet off my meat and I'll add some sweet BBQ sauce if I want it. Potato Salad: Spot on-no problems. BBQ Beans: Seemed to be a little more on the sweet side than in past occasions. Pasta Salad: Yikes! Also extremely sweet in our opinion. It was also overly-drenched in dressing to the point it was dripping off the pasta.

Very, very disappointed in Porky's this time around and honestly may be enough to keep us from going back--especially for...

I would first like to say this is one of the most underrated spots in KC. The ribs are just as good as any!! With that said I would like to show a little recognition to Scotty and the staff today. A lady fell off some steps today just outside the restaurant ( I will be praying for this individual as she was successfully pickup from the ambulance) I notice something was going on outside as I saw Scottie and his staff attend attention to the individual. The fact I saw urgency from the owner and wonderful staff to help another human being is priceless. Dropping whatever they were doing to attend this individual. I respect I have for them, caring and going above and beyond to help the individual is something we don’t see anymore. This is a great place to eat and it’s made by people who put others 1st. I just just want to applaud and show some...

We went to Porky's blazing BBQ for the first time. I got the large pulled pork sandwich, which the said is 1/3 lb. And a large baked beans as a side. The pork had just the right amount of smoke flavor, as well as the beans, which seemed to have chunks of burnt ends in them (a plus). We went around lunch time, which was busy but worth a small wait for the food. Tidy place to eat, clean restroom. My wife got the small turkey sandwich with a small macaroni side (white cheese). She allowed me to sample her sandwich, which was good. However, I have never been a huge fan of turkey. My wife really liked the sandwich. There is a couple of pictures of the Kansas City chiefs Quarter Back, Patrick Mahomes with the staff there, along with KC Wolf. When I warms up a bit more, we will probably make the ride on the Harley for a good meal again

If you have only driven by Porky's Blazin' BBQ on Buckner-Tarsney Road south of Grain Valley, AND YOU DIDN’T STOP… you’re mistaken. We came to eat as a group, like 8 or 9 people and I know it’s a lot, but the staff was so polite and accommodating. They explained what they’re best known for and we went with that! The ribs, are TENDER, bite right off the bone, no problem. Add a little of that sweet sauce, and it’s finger lickin GOOD! Lol! Again, we had a large group, so we had variety of choices. I also recommended the Mac N Cheese, (White Cheese) so creamy! So yummy! Turkey and ham was yummy as well! Again, the atmosphere, was very comfortable and home like. So I enjoyed my meal. 10/10. We will be back. Hey, Patrick Mahomes approved of this good home cooking as well lol
