The big guy his name is Robert. Great helpful guy. Always has a smile and welcoming is every time we show up. He is right there when you order. Good clean place and the cobblers are out of this world. Wondering how much to purchase a whole one? I sure would like to get one. I asked but he didn't know. If you like bbqi would recommend this place. My favorite would be the smokey mo sandwich.

Stopped in and tried the 1/2 ribs with coleslaw and BBQ beans. I was kinda thrown off when they got the ribs out and had to warm them up. Coleslaw is a vinegar slaw baked beans are good Not a bad place especially better than the normal food places in truck stops. Paid $15 with a large drink I will be back to try again but wasn’t blown away by it.

Decent BBQ. price was fair and was truly smoked. Rib's were tender. Robert behind counter has a different personality. Not rude just stern. Don't come to a truck stop and expect super kind people every time..lol.

Smokestack BBQ is, without exaggeration, a culinary catastrophe. The audacity of including 'BBQ' in its name is a blatant insult to the very essence of barbecue cuisine. It's a mystery akin to the Bermuda Triangle how such an establishment continues to operate. My visit there was spurred by a misguided spark of optimism - a 'why not?' moment I profoundly regret. From the first bite, it was painfully clear that the standards here are subterranean. To compare their offerings to my school cafeteria's fare or even hospital food would be to extend an unwarranted compliment.

The food served at Smokestack BBQ can only be described as an affront to taste buds everywhere. 'Gross and old' barely scratches the surface. The dishes are devoid of flavor, making one wonder if the concept of seasoning is as foreign to them as customer satisfaction. The ineptitude doesn't end with the kitchen's output. The staff, though perhaps well-meaning, are woefully undertrained, displaying a baffling unfamiliarity with their own menu.

The promise of 'freshness' is a farce; nothing served could be considered remotely recent in origin. It's a gastronomic ghost town where taste and texture go to die.In summary, dining at Smokestack BBQ was a profoundly disappointing experience that I cannot, in good conscience, recommend to anyone.

This establishment is a disservice to barbecue cuisine and should be avoided at all costs. It's an embodiment of culinary neglect and disillusionment, an...

Tried the place out... Saturday, 2/15, afternoon after 1:00. Staff not present - except one person eating in the dining area. Guess they were on break. Once staff came around from convenience store side to take our order, it seemed nothing was ready. By their own admission, staff didn't know how to prepare menu items nor what was in them. Took entirely too long to prepare items ordered - others in our party of 5 were finished eating before the last couple even had their food. Register was not operational to pay for food - had to go to main convenience store register to pay. Food was mediocre, at best. Too bad... I realize it's new... But they've been open long enough to get past these kinds of issues, and from the looks of the place, it could be so...
