Went on a Saturday evening after a LORA fishing tournament and the following Sunday Service was great! Our server on Saturday was pretty busy, but she was really nice and a really good server. Waters and coffees were always full. We ordered the grouper, chicken fried steak and the steak and shrimp. My mom did not like the steak and shrimp at all. Steak was over cooked and tasted like liver. The shrimp was over cooked, but the sauce it came with was delicious. The grouper my brother liked it. I didn't like the coleslaw tho. It was way too mayonnaise-y. Should be just a tad wet. Not thick. The chicken fried steak was good. I got it with the brown gravy, I shoulda gotten it with the white gravy like traditional so I could taste it. I'm pretty sure the brown gravy was not home made, but it was still tasty.
That bread pudding tho!!! Holybajeezus!!!! That rum sauce!! Absolutely delicious! There was a new server that talked us into getting it. Now I'm ruined for the rest of my life. I don't live here in Missouri, so I can't just go get some when I want! 🤣 Service 5-5. Food could use a little more fresh ingredients. Second day food we got grouper again. Fried mushrooms, fried pickles, chicken bacon burger was absolutely delicious! And I got the chef salad. Can't go wrong with a salad. I don't like to give less than 5 stars, but I would say 4-5 stars on the food. And that's being really nice.
I really like the atmosphere of the restaurant tho. I think our servers name was Cheyenne on Saturday, Sundays girl was pretty awesome too! I don't think I asked her her name tho. But she was the only server on, I guess everyone called out sick that day. We felt...

Updated: 5/13/2021- I am really hesitant to leave this review but I really think others or at least the owners need to know about my latest experience here. The service has always been slow but the food made up for it because it was always brought to the table hot and very tasty, but unfortunately that was not the case tonight. After ordering two meals (a sandwich and an entree) my husband and I watched two other tables get ordered and severed after we had ordered (one of those being a table of three). The waitress kept telling us that they had to make a batch of gravy and that was the reason for the wait so we patiently waited for our food while watching others get theirs. When our food finally arrived it was cold...everything was cold, the chicken fried steak, the gravy (that we waited forever for), the mashed potatoes, the French dip and the fried potato salad. The cheese on the fried potato salad wasn’t even melted that is how cold it was. Very disappointing experience! We have been to Willowe’s several times and have brought family members from out of town with us and although during one of our experiences they were out of several things forcing our family members to change their selections the good food made up for it, but now I don’t know if I’ll be back. There was not an excuse for the poor quality tonight. We live very close to Willowe’s and were hoping this would be our new local spot, but after tonight’s experience I’m...
Read moreWe have a lake house in Camdenton and eat here when we're in town. Three of us came in Friday 7/23/21. What a total disappointment. The place was not busy like it usually is when we visit. We ordered 2 Captain Morgan's and diet coke short and asked if they could turn on the Cardinal game. After a long wait we received 2 Captain and Dr. Pepper tall. Enquired again about the game. Told her drinks were wrong but we'll drink them. Asked a third time about game and ordered some wings. Told they were out of wings. At this point we got up and left. Game still wasn't on. All of this could've been avoided with some decent customer service. Very disappointed in a place we've frequented. Doubt...
