In an earlier review,I gave Black Market all 5's for their restaurant. Today was a crushing disappointment. I ordered Brisket and BBQ beans to go. As the photos show there is only a smudge of "smoke" even touching the meat. Just a little bit,and only the tip. Ironic, since the smoker under the shed was billowing big blue smoke. I guess that's now a Signal to show customers the entrance. Teresa,my wife, complained that this Brisket was the MOST Bland BBQ she ever tasted. At $15.00 a pound! I agree! The BBQ Beans were just as Ordinary. No more Onion Bits,no Meat Scraps,no flavor. NOTHING. At this time,I will retract my earlier review and make it disappear. If only my memory of how this place WAS,could dis-appear also. VERDICT:Drive farther Southeast and get some PIG UP N GO in Mexico.

In Moberly, MO for work. Always like to try local places. Black Market Barbeque is a cool little rutis place. The service and food was exceptional. The Whiskey Bites are a MUST try. Tender bites of tenderloin deep fried and covered with a sticky whiskey glaze. I got three meats (pulled pork, brisket and chicken). Everything was tender and juicy. Their After Burn BBQ sauce provided the right amount of kick. Personally, I couldn't leave without a slice of Peanut Butter Pie and Chocolate Pecan Pie.

7/29/22. Still excellent service and the best pork steak you could want. Second time eating here and I have been constantly impressed with the quality of the food. Hands down the best coleslaw I've ever had. Highly recommend going on a Friday for their smoked pork steaks. Friendly service, comfortable atmosphere and lots of options on the menu.

My wife and I went here for lunch and overall it was good we loved the fried pickles, pulled pork and chicken but the baked beans were a little bland and thick however if you mix a little bbq sauce with them it does add a good amount of flavor. The restaurant was clean inside and the parking lot was as well, it was slow when we went and we were the only ones there right up to the end. The waitress while nice and friendly kind of looked and acted like she was exhausted and didn't want to be there, maybe just a bad day. I would say this is a good place for a family meal, the best BBQ in town and overall this was a good experience and we will be back again.

P.S. The hours are very unusual and can be an inconvenience for people so please be sure to check and make sure they are open if you plan on...

I am fairly new to Moberly and have been making the rounds trying to find nice places to eat. My brother and I tried Black Market BBQ for the first time the other day and I have to say it was one of my best experiences so far in Moberly. We tried the nachos, brisket, ribs, and something I think was called whiskey bites. It was all delicious. I couldn't find anything to complain about food-wise besides maybe wanting more of it. The best part of the experience though, had to be our waitress (the sister of the man behind the flavors). She was really freaking funny. I'm not sure if it was intentional or if we just caught her on a good night but we were having a great time conversing with her. Anyways, now I want her as a friend and they have made a regular...
