Ranch Seafood — Restaurant in Mobile

This is one divey place and easily dismissable as it's hidden by a gas bar.We ordered the 2 crab steamed platter that also had shrimp, potatoes, corn, and a sausage. All were good but a little spicy despite having ordered it NOT spicy. The shrimps were large but whole, as in with the heads attached.

Also got some fried catfish and trout along with fries, okra, fried pickles, and potato salad. All good but sometimes with too much breading and some pieces were over-fried. Oh, also wanted to try the chicken wings out of curiosity which were interestingly sweet with a little bite. Pretty good.

All in all not bad. The steamed platter is comparable to something you'd get at Joe's Crab Shack. If you can get past the unwelcoming appearance of the place and don't rely too much on service, the food's...

I ordered the 8a steamed seafood because we had a craving for seafood. I was highly disappointed. Although I knew not to expect large restaurant quality like Juicy Seafood with savory spices, I did expect seasoning. I ordered mild but geesh I was eating basic unseasoned seafood. I ordered 2lbs of shrimp corn and potatoes.i waited for what seemed like 15 minutes. The younger lady at the counter was really nice,but when I got my order home the shrimp were not edible at all. I called back and the older lady answered and could not understand what I wanted. I could have driven back and taken the food back, but taking shrimp back and forth seemed pointless.
