Shubam Family Takeout — Restaurant in Mobile

Excellent, friendly service. One of, if not the, best Philly's I've had. The Shu Bam Philly was overflowing with steak, chicken, shrimp, onions and peppers. Perfectly seasoned, I didn't want to add anything to it. Chose fries, which were good, but would've chosen the okra if I'd paid more attention to the menu. Their special today was gumbo, so also got a cup and it was way more food than I expected. Gumbo was full of shrimp, crab, sausage, chicken, okra, and the trinity. I'd wager it's the best gumbo I've had in Mobile from any restaurant (looking at you, long-time institutions). Overall there was definitely enough food for two people, so me and a buddy shared. I was handling business in the area and had some time to kill so I thought I would stop by this hole in the wall and see what's up.

I don't mean hole in a wall in a bad way but it is a small place in the middle of an industrial area.

I saw a bunch of traffic going in and out so I figured let me give the local spot a try. And I am glad I did!

I ordered a shrimp po boy and fries and everything was on point. The pricing was good as well.

The service was amazing and they took it right in front of you so you know what's going on.

Next time I'm in town I will definitely stop by and grab some grub before 1:00...

Ok sorry to tell you this but I haven't eaten here yet and I said yet because there's no we're to park your vehicle they need to figure out a better way to park your car and big rigges not on the streets very dangerous some one can get hit are even killed and I see mobile police and the sheriff department park on the street there not sitting a good adzapal but getting back to the food it looks good and I will try to get by there ...
