Hardee’s — Restaurant in Mocksville

If I didn't have to give it a star, I wouldn't. I have never posted a negative review but this is awful. We went there at 8:00 tonight. Place is empty, no cars in drive thru. After the girl working the window took my payment and gave us our drinks, she asked us to move forward to the white line and our food would be right out. I'm not stupid. They do this so managers don't see how long a car waits. So, drinks were wrong backed up and got those fixed. Food took almost 15 minutes to come out. Fries were cold so I went back in and said "cmon now, we wait this long and you give us cold fries?" So, they drop some more in the fryer. I look around and the place looks like there was a party in there. Absolutely trashed. I actually took pictures it was so bad. I asked to speak to a manager and a "shift leader in training" comes out. Pointless to talk to her, acted like she could care less. They put my fries in a bag and I head out. When I got to my car, I checked the fries and they weren't even halfway cooked! Walked back in, tossed the bag on the counter and left. Driving home we discovered tea was probably from this morning, bread on all sandwiches was borderline stale, no napkins, chicken tenders were old, and on and on. Its a shame because there isn't a Hardee's other than this one within 30 minutes. What a shame. I love Hardee's but will not ever be back to this one. I'm going to reach out to someone tomorrow and see if I can get in touch with someone whoay care to know how...

I haven't been to a Hardee's in 20 years. My wife got the hot ham and cheese star special. I couldn't believe how small it was hardly any shaved ham which has to be cheap because it's not really real ham. Fries were okay but not extremely fresh it looks like they were trying to copy McDonald's but not even close. I tried the chicken BLT which the nice cashier recommended. It was not fresh either it tasted like it was 2 hours old. I thought Hardee's would have been out of business many moons ago. I just don't think their food is too satisfying. I know a lot of people say the breakfast is good but I don't know because I haven't tried it in quite a while. Everybody in their looks at you weird when you come in there. I know why now! They're wondering why you would come in for such bad food. I will try again some other time in 20 years if Hardee's is still around. Also the tea out in the lobby was totally void of any tea taste. It tasted like brown water with fake sugar in it. Do these people a favor that stare at you and you come in here and just use this as a bathroom stop. I think the food is fresher, and better made at Sheetz gas station. God...

This was my first time ever visiting a Hardee’s, and I went through the drive-thru. The woman who took my order was incredibly kind and patient, which I really appreciated—especially since I was unfamiliar with the menu.

I ordered the Frisco Burger meal (no tomatoes). Coming from Texas, I assumed it would be similar to a patty melt. It’s not. It’s more like a sandwich with a hamburger patty in place of deli meat. Was mildly disappointed in taste other than the bacon... some of the best fast food bacon.

I also ordered a single chicken tender for my dog—and I’ve got to say, that was really good. I took a small bite.

The meal itself was solid. I got a large, but the portion sizes felt pretty modest—more like a medium at Wendy’s, especially the fries and drink. That said, the fries were tasty, about on par with Jack in the Box or Wendy’s in terms of flavor and crispness.

Overall, good service and decent food, but if you're used to bigger portions like in Texas, just be aware. I’d go back, but probably with adjusted...
