Sicilian Joes Pizzeria — Restaurant in Monee

Owner was nice enough to replace my stromboli it because it was overdone. I didn't even have to complain to bring this to his attention; he noticed it looked extra crispy as he took it out of the oven, and assured me I could call if it was not good and that he would replace it, which is what happened. He let me have a credit for it and I was able to get the replacement at my convenience. So excellent service in that regard.

However I almost did 4 stars because I saw no one wearing a mask inside and we are having a COVID surge in Illinois. Please mask up! Here's a tip: ditch the disposable ones and order yourselves a nice reusable/washable face mask with comfortable straps. It's not that bad to wear one most of the day if it doesn't wear too hard on your ears. Even if your customers don't wear masks, don't think you should match their leniency! It's not good. I do not wish this terrible disease onto any of the fine folks who work there. And I felt unsafe myself just picking up the food, even with my mask on. Placed an online order at 7 pm on Saturday night for about 80 dollars. Was told it would be delivered by 9:45pm. Got a notification from their third party delivery service “slice” that the food was out for delivery. It’s 10:05pm, and still no call/text that is was here. So i called the restaurant. Restaurant doesn’t answer. Okay no worries they are probably busy. I wait another 10 minutes and call back. Again, no answer. I get in contact with the third party delivery service, and they tell me that they also CANT get in contact with the restaurant. They tell me to wait another 15 minutes. I waited and at this point it was 10:30 pm when my coworkers going away party was suppose to start. I get a text from the delivery service help line that the restaurant was actually closed. Still have no received a refund and would never order from this place again. Only order if you are PHYSICALLY there to confirm this place is open. Good Pizza, so so service. When the owner is there, things run well. Even when its busy, they say an hour it's done in an hour. If not he at least appoligizes and offers a side.

If its other people, it is hit and miss.

This is the third time I have ordered from them and "computer problems" have caused an issue. I know that wasnt true bc my other stuff was ready. If my mom and I wanted to wait an hour and a half for Pizza, we go to a nice sitdown place. If we wanted Pizza @ 1015pm (and the late night heart burn to follow) we would order at 9:30pm not 8pm. Third time on top of that.
