Great experience. Got a large loaf of bread that will probably last us all week. Its delicious. Im not sure I have ever had bread with such a delicious crust then the inside is nice and fluffy. We came around 11 and not much had been made so we only got one loaf this time. We also got some fresh hamburger meat from their meat cooler. We made it last night in a shepherds pie and it was amazing. Fresh ground beef compared to store bought is so flavorful we didn't even add many spices to it. My daughter got a giant chocolate chip cookie that 3 of us shared. It was also amazing. My gf got a mini quiche and she said it was so good she wants to get a few of them and keep them so she has an easy breakfast for a few days a week. They have a few sitting areas outside but the heat drove us away. I can't wait to go back. Also spoke with one of the bakers and he mentioned they are at the Carlisle Farmers on the Square Market that we also go to every now and then. Go visit them! The food is not inexpensive but everything so far was definitly worth the...
Read moreMostly everything in here is excellent. I advise you to get their own soft pretzels, cinnamon rolls and vegetable cream cheese. I advise you to try the Apple Valley Farm cheese that they carry. They also carry some delicious tomato sauces. Pretty high quality stuff, and it’s very expensive. Don’t go hungry or you will spend more than a week’s grocery bill. I have to tell the whole truth as a professional and experienced Google reviewer person, so help me God. It’s worth a try, but maybe bring a 20 dollar bill and no credit/debit card so you don’t go broke. I mean look at the place. It’s beautiful. It’s kind of like how casinos and new medical buildings are all done up. Someone has to pay for it, and that someone is you. It’s classy and tasty and price gougey.
Edit: I’ve had 2 experiences in a row of inedible bread and bagels. I had to throw them out. They were hard like rocks. I am not going back. Also, the cherry/almond scone tasted terrible. It is far too expensive to be providing inedible...
Read moreWhen we pulled into the parking lot, the air smelled of baking bread. Outside are beautiful gardens, 2 covered gazebos with tables and seating and kids toys, books and games in a cabinet and riding toys on the lawn. A senior dog is sleeping in his favorite spot under the outside walk up order window. Pastures beyond the two main buildings and gardens and gazebos had a family of French cows with little ones. Inside the shop is small but packed with all locally made goodies. I saw chocolate from Loraschi's a nationally renowned chocolatier in Colonial Park and peanut butter from Zimmerman's store in Penbrook, two favorite spots! They also had fresh lions mane and reishi mushrooms, fresh cut flowers, meats, dairy, prepared foods and pantry items(I got olive oil and fermented ginger beets) They do not have any gluten free breads or pastries. I liked the carrot, turmeric, apple, ginger juice. My companions said the sandwiches were standard grilled fare. The prices are average to...
