El Azteca Méxican Restaurant — Restaurant in Monroe

We spontaneously decided to try El Azteca for the first time and will not be coming back. The service was horrible and the food was not much better. We received our chips and salsa, and I asked the waitress for a small queso as well. After around 10 minutes and seeing the waitress walk past multiple times, we again asked for our cheese dip. We finally received it about 5 minutes later, their explanation was that they forgot which table ordered it. There was literally only two other tables in the whole restaurant; there's no way they "forgot". Or, if they did forget, they could've just asked who had the cheese dip. Regardless, the queso was cold and chunky because it had evidently been sitting back there for a while. Soon after, we got our food, and the waitress told us she'd bring us some more chips for our queso. She came back a while later and asked us if we wanted chips, as if we hadn't already told her that. The food was cold and I'm currently feeling nauseous after eating just one of my enchiladas. We definitely could've gone somewhere else much better and for a much cheaper price than...

I WILL NEVER EAT HERE AGAIN! On Taco Tuesday, tacos are like a dollar. We ordered a small quaso for around 4 dollars. I ordered extra cheese on my tacos. The extra cheese came in a small cup. Very small. I was given two cups and it was over 6 dollars. Around four to five of those little cups would have made up the small quaso that cost 4 dollars. I wasn’t told it would be that much. Extra cheese at other eat places are normally 50 cents to a dollar. My brother order nachos. The description of their El Aztenca nacho did not mention guacamole was on there. I asked if it was on there and if not could I get some. It turns out guacamole already comes on those nachos and I was charged extra for something that I would not have requested if I knew it already came on it. Overall me and my friends spent and extra 15 dollars that we were not aware we were spending. WORSE EXPERIENCE EVER!! IT WAS CLOSE TO CLOSING TIME, WE UNDERSTAND. BUT WHEN WE ASKED THE HOST BEFORE WE WERE SEATED IF THEY WERE STILL SERVING PEOPLE & THEY INSIST TO COME ON IN & ENJOY!! BUT THE LAST THING WE DID WAS ENJOYED. FROM THE COLD QUESO & CHIPS TO THE RUDE LADY THAT BROUGHT OUR DRINKS TO US, IT WAS EVERYTHING BUT ENJOYABLE. OUR FOOD WAS COLD & INCOMPLETE. COLD HARD RICE, WATERED DOWN DRINKS, COLD BURRITO, TACO SALAD THAT WAS GREASY & ONLY INCLUDED CHICKEN & STEAK...TOTALLY NOT HOW THE MENU DESCRIBED IT! BROWN AVOCADO SLICES. THERE WAS A LADY THAT WAS WORKING IN THE BAR THAT BROUGHT US A MIXED DRINK, WHEN WE SAID WE DIDN'T ORDER IT, HER REPLY WAS I DON'T KNOW ANYTHING I'M JUST TOLD TO MAKE THE DRINKS IT'S SUCH & SUCH'S FAULT NOT MINE.
