Walked inside, sat down with 4 other people in the place. Waited 10-15 minutes before anyone so much asked what we would like to drink while the cook ran in and out of the kitchen visibly and vocally angry no one was answering the phone to come in. Kept doing single loud startling claps for some reason. Our food and drink order were eventually taken, but it took him a while longer to even start cooking it. Ordered a bacon cheeseburger delux and a bacon cheesesteak melt. Got a bacon cheeseburger on Texas toast that was cooked to competly dry and a bacon cheesesteak melt with hash browns. So not only did it take more than 30 minutes to even start cooking our meal with at most 2 people in front of us, but when it got to our table the order was wrong, and the hash browns were tiny compared to every other waffle house. There was probably one normal order of hash browns between our two plates and it was already cold by the time the food was served. Sitting feet from the griddle this is pretty inexcusable. After all this I got a refill of sweet tea which was added hot with no more ice added to the cup, melting what little was still in there and leaving me with a glass of not hot or cold tea, but luke warm tea. By the time we left I wanted to scream at someone.
Was the worst waffle house experience I've ever had and possibly the most stressed I've ever been because of one. I'll never return to this waffle house. This place can't handle 6 people in their restaurant without everything falling...
Read moreWe waited for 45 minutes for our to go order the waitress took 20 minutes to call calculate our ticket. While this was happening a waitress was telling a coworker(very explicitly) how she got in a fight with a coworker. When ordering I ready the exact order from a sticky note and had her read it back to me. When our order was finally ready it was wrong. We were missing several items and one of them were wrong. When I told the waitress she was flustered so the cook came over and I handed him the sticky note and told him "this is exactly how it should be" he thanked me and went to cooking the correct order. The waitress looked at her co-worker and said "well if she had given me that it would've been right!". I responded "I took it out and read it to you and confirmed it but what I ordered and what you gave me is not the same". She turned to another waitress and said, "Can I leave?" Grabbed her stuff and stormed out. I asked another waitress if we could get our check and the cook (the only one who had a head on his shoulders or any multitasking skills about him took my ticket and gave a 10% discount for my trouble. Did I mention right before this happened the head manager came out on the line, watched the confusion and how the young lady waiting on us was struggling and left. Didn't ask if he could help, didn't check to see what we needed out how things were...nothing. The food was good thanks to the cook but the service was...
Read moreFood crumbs w were floating in the bottom of my water glass. Waitress replaced my water. Eggs were not done. Runny. Looked like puss. Bacon was cooked so dry and over cooked it was right at the brink of burnt. I sent the eggs back to be re-cooked. This seemed to make the cook mad, as she put my re-cook/do-over eggs on tomorrows to do list. Not to mention the over cooked, dry card board bacon. After waiting, waiting and waiting I asked the waitress to check on my eggs. By now the bacon and meat patty were ice cold. The cook told the waitress (this is Waffle House; everybody hears everybody talk) she stated in an icy dead pan tone, that I would just have to wait. So. I had lost my appetite. I went to pay. Then I was going to leave. Even though I had not eaten. A manager came from the back to the register. Asked what had happened. I explained. Told him that I wasn’t mad. That I was just paying to leave as I had eaten two pieces of bacon (I had a double order). Manager told me I did not have to pay. The bacon was on him. The manager was very professional. Seemed genuinely concerned about what had just transpired. I then thanked the manager and left. The manager gets an A+. The waitress a C. And the cook an F minus. I’ve been eating Waffle House over 50 years. I know when there’s a problem if I...
