Oh my goodness!!! James Street Tavern has the most phenomenal Hot Sausage sandwich [w/ tater tots] I have ever had. Their bread is so soft with a crunch crust. The sauce does not sog the bread. The Sausage is a bit spicy with a kick but not over-powering. Their tater tots are crunchy and explosive when you bite into them. It's clear they change out their oils and season to perfection. The clientele is a mixed crowd. Older generation before 8pm on Friday & Saturday. Younger crowds after 9pm. Very friendly people to be sociol with. Friendly bar staff and fair prices.

Worst salad I ever had in my life! There’s not even ten fries on this salad smh! And they couldn’t bother to cut up the onions or tomatoes. Don’t order anything healthy; only good for greasy chicken and shoestring fries

Me and my tattoo shop are in from out of town and they made it feel like we were right at home.

Long established little secret in the Monroeville venue. Great pizza, wings, sandwiches, and apps. Drinks are very fairly priced. We (as a family) have been occasional patrons for 20yrs depending on the mood and particular craving of the day. The location is well marked with signs, but still somewhat secluded as the main entry is behind a building on a lower level. A non handicapped entrance exists on the upper level, however it involves a narrow stairwell. We all love the wings and pizza, but as a family of non-smokers, we most often opt out of a sit down experience. This location is restricted to adults only as smoking is open throughout the establishment. My wife and I both have asthma, so we draw straws to see who will go in and pick up our 'to-go' orders as our systems are very sensitive. It only takes a minute for our hair and clothing to smell like we've been in there for some time...HOWEVER, the food is worth it. Great prices, and always a tempting daily special. I would highly recommend anyone with any condition to give the place a chance..it is unlikely that any disappointment will be had at the...

Hit and mis nice place. Owners should educate staff on how to treat people with service animals. I had my registered service dog in there for two mins. I showed the registration card and two drunk men hot aggressive towards me I asked for a To go order at that point. I was told I could not have a service animal in there which helps me with ptsd to if she is calm I'm calm. The aggressive men did not phase my service animal so I was calm and understood that these men are not a threat which kept me from going into a episode from PTSD. Which could end badly for any one me or THEM!! So I put service animal in vehicle went back in calmly. Apologized and was denied service. Drunk Patrons should not be allowed to make and...

We are obsessed with this place. The food is absolutely phenomenal. Unfortunately due to the pandemic, we haven't been able to dine in yet, but plan to go as soon as it is safe to! Their pizza, burnt wings, salads, are great and we haven't gotten a special we didn't like! Update: We have been able to dine in 3-4 times now. Love the dive bar atmosphere. Smoking is allowed but it isn't smokey inside the place. The crowd is mixed, different ages and races. Everyone is friendly. A lot of regulars. Kitchen closes at 11 or 12 and I was able to get fries and butterfly shrimp right before close and it was great. Pitchers of beer are...
