I've been visiting this place since I was a child, I'm now in my late 30's. It's always been a very nice experience. They have great ice cream with many flavors, including some unusual ones that you won't find elsewhere like Mexican Hot Chocolate or Monson Mud. They also have an awesome view & offer pumpkin picking & hayrides. Though the pumpkins are a little expensive. They have both indoor/outdoor seating & a sandbox/playhouses for little ones. They also have goats that you can buy animal cones for. I will add that I'm not too happy with the new live music here though. Please don't get me wrong, I'm a huge music lover, but one of the special things about this place (prior to adding the live music) was the quiet & peaceful atmosphere while enjoying an ice cream & the magnificent views. They also now serve alcohol, I believe it's only beer/wine...but this bothers me not just because I don't drink, but because many people act obnoxious & loud when they're drinking or have had too much to drink, which puts a damper on things. I honestly don't see why they found it necessary to serve alcohol @ an establishment that is aimed @ families, especially with children. So these adults are drinking then driving with their kids in the car when they leave? Definitely not cool in my opinion! Last time we went they had a band playing with a female vocalist & the music was so loud that we couldn't even have a conversation with each other because we couldn't hear one another talking over the ridiculously loud music. I think it would be much nicer without the music. People go for ice cream, animals & views, not alcohol or a "partying" atmosphere...sad how things & places change over time. Adults looking for music & alcohol have plenty of other places to go, such as bars or concerts, etc. Why turn a family friendly farm into an adult party spot? I still think it's a okay place to go, but it was so much better years ago...before ever adding the music/booze. Just sharing...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI FRIGGING LOVE THIS PLACE! I've gone here several times since I was a little kid and have always adored the goats. They are top notch babies! ššš As a little girl I made friends with an escaped little black goat. Although the employees unfortunately didn't really seem to care that much, I'm sure he was fine and this was many years ago so the employees are maybe different now. They even have a sheep, only one for some reason, who is very fat and cute. He might be a spy from the secret sheep colony located in the hills nearby in the Shire! I also saw a pregnant goat there and hope to go back to see her babies soon. THE BABY GOATS ARE SCRUMPTIOUS! I want to dunk them in my coffee and take them home with me. The bigger goats are such piggies and will eat all the food you give them so be sure to throw some in for the little ones. I love this one goat I call the Dinosaur Goat because he has no horns and looks quite funny. There's one black goat with orange eyes and cute lil horns who loves to be pet and kissed. I love him so frigging much. The view is also amazing and their ice cream is real dang good. The kids are annoying because I hate children but at least there are dogs and goats! I saw a beautiful white husky there last time. I also saw some strange quail/wild turkey/bird things that were running in a straight line across the field. I laughed my ass off. Oh, the baby goats also like to cuddle and play fight which will literally murder you from the sheer cuteness of it. I'm a ghost writing this. Love, ya girl, Brandy Copyright Brandy...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis was my fourth visit to Westview Farms in Monson. I have always enjoyed my visits especially the goats but even they are not enough to bring me back to this place. The workers here seemed more irritated with our presence than appreciative for the business. I ordered chicken fingers with an add-on from the add-on menu of 5 fried pickles but I was told that I could only get the add-on of five pickles if I had ordered a burger. Since I ordered the chicken fingers I could not get the side so I had to pay $3.50 for a whole basket of fried pickles. When the food came out I noticed that there was no barbecue sauce at the condiment station so I patiently waited at the counter to ask for some. No one showed up for several minutes yet I made eye contact with a worker and was given a look that told me I was not going to be attended to for a while. I eventually gave up and went back to my seat. Eventually someone showed up and I was able to go request only to be told that it was an extra $0.55 if I wanted barbecue sauce with my chicken fingers I think this place has become very popular very quickly and now the owners andand staff do not feel that they need to appreciate their customers and the business that they bring in. I was bringing a new love interest to the Creamery in hopes that maybe he would bring his own family and grandkids to see the goats and have a nice meal. That will...
