This is kind of a comical review at this point I can’t make this stuff up….the poor young girls worker at this place was unfortunate. Here’s the details…. Stopped during a long drive. Sign on the door says cash only no problem good thing I have cash but we’ve been on the road for about 4 hours so a bathroom would be nice. They say sorry no bathrooms to which I said I’m sure you have bathrooms but none for the customers but ok she says no there’s plumbing problems. And they must tell me they have no grill only fried food. Ok we joke, I tell my husband guess I’m having fried food for dinner. My kids order chicken finger baskets. But sorry no gravy. Sorry no toast. So for 12.99 they get a handful of fries and 4 strips that are more like nuggets, I wish I had a photo because I am not exaggerating but I didn’t bring my phone in. I didn’t think it was going to take so long. The total was $78 plus bucks .. We sit to wait for our meals and shakes. I go up and ask if my girls can get lemonade and Dr Pepper as their drinks to which she says let me finish with these customers first so I can get ice. Sure finish the customers who came in after us but ok. After making the next customers ice creams and such she takes 2 cups to the back and starts banging on a bag of ice trying to get some free. Ok. She tries to use the machine it doesn’t work. Goes to the back comes back to the front sorry the soda machine isn’t working but we have Coke Zero in a can. Ok guess that’s what we’re getting even though I’m not giving that to my kids so no drink for them. Since I can’t use the bathroom to wash my hands I try their sanitizer… which is empty I am laughing at this point. The teenagers apologize of course but it’s not their fault. Food comes out but we need to hit the road so I asked for to go bags, she asks if we want our ice cream after we eat. No we want them to go but no problem we will wait til you finish yet another customers order while we wait. We leave and head straight to McDonald’s for good food and bathrooms. I’m no genius but maybe management or owners should fix these issues before continuing. I have never experienced anything like this before....

Looks like the proprietor replaced the toilet - the new one looks to be of a solid disposition, though I did not have sufficient reason to use it. Additionally, the new tiling in the bathroom is appreciated and brings a certain "high-quality strip mall pizzeria" vibe to the place. Would recommend. I leave my original review below for posterity sake- this DQ is on the come-up, and there should be testimony to that effect!
(Additionally, I got a Reese's Blizzard and that ripped)

Many moons ago, at the height of the nation's Jersey Shore obsession, my younger and more vulnerable self ducked into this Dairy Queen for a quick snack before climbing up High Point.
I went to use the restroom on the side of the Dairy Queen after partaking a delightful Blizzard, and came to find a deceased raccoon inside the bowl, sprawled out like a sunbather deep within a Sunday dream.
And had this deterred previous patrons from using the facilities? Your imagination is capable of filling in the gaps!
In short, I recieved wonderful ice cream and a terrific story I've used to shock delicate company for nearly a decade....
Read moreI love going to DQ while I'm on my way to High Point State Park in New Jersey or just for some delicious ice cream on a warm day. I adore their chicken tenders with honey mustard dipping sauce. The staff is always friendly and eager to assist. The line at the register can get a bit confusing when it's long because it's right in front of the entrance and no one really knows where it ends but there is something particularly satisfying/calming about a line for ice cream that no one gets their panties in a bunch and everyone is served. Only thing I would change, which I recognize has nothing to do with the staff, is move the restroom inside instead of having it outdoors. Other than that,...
