Things to know: It is October 2024 and their website has not been updated since 2020/Covid. Ignore it and call for any information you require. It is quirky, in a good way. Their menu (limited but creative) is posted at the entrance, make your choices before entering. You order at the counter and they bring your food to you - this means, send one of your party to the lower seating area to claim a table (if there is one) while you place their order for them. If there isn't a table there are a few seats at the counter. If weather permits there is outdoor seating. What I really mean is that seating is limited, go during off-peak times for the best experience. The restaurant itself is very clean. Its large windows overlooking a scenic river are very dirty. With their southern exposure on a sunny day the view is spoiled. Go on an overcast day, it helps. To be fair, since the windows are above the river, they'd need a barge and scaffold to clean them correctly and that's not happening. I find this place charming and I suspect you will too. Use it sparingly, so I can still get a seat...

I think the Lady Killigrew was once much better than it is now, I seem to remember it being a bar, where one could get drinks. Now it seems they call it a cafe, but it is hardly a cafe. They offer coffee but it may be burnt. They offer bagels and two flavors: plain and everything, but the everything bagel is severely lacking. I ordered a toasted bagel with cream cheese and kielbasa, and it cost $3.25. My daughter had trouble deciding and ended up getting a grilled cheese sandwich she really didn't like. There was so much cheese it kind of made her ill, and the salad that came with it was rather skimpy. My partner ordered something for herself which was inadequate. Extremely steep prices for low quality service, for mediocre food. I felt like we got jipped. On top of that, when my partner placed the order, the person who took the order said check back in 15 or 20 minutes, rather than being clear and decisive. I feel like this is one place that has gone downhill since covid, and I won't be going back or recommending...

Location and ambiance are lovely but we found the eats to underwhelming... Came here for a quick coffee and breakfast before hitting the road but discovered they had pretty limited options for that first, most important meal of the day.

Only two types of bagel options, two types of coffee (regular or cold brew), and very limited other morning beverage choices (for those of us who don't drink coffee). Perhaps minimalism is their thing?

I will say, I tried the "Maple Milk" which, spoiler alert, is literally maple syrup stirred into whole milk, Nesquick-style. But hot damn was it tasty! Who'da thunk it.

Anyways, word on the street is they're sandwiches are pretty great so maybe lunch would have been a more representative meal for the Lady. We'll have...

Found this place close by to a concert we were going to at Montague Retreat Center. Unfamiliar and in the middle of nowhere where, The Lady Killigrew Cafe was a blessing! Timing was great as they close their kitchen at 8pm so we got there around 7:40 with just enough time to grab a bite. Cute and quaint, right near the flowing waters - I wish I got to see this place in the sunlight! The tunes here are great, I was dancing immediately. The staff here is sweet and the space itself is so fascinating! Has a cute charm throughout all the way down to the bookshop. I ordered the Number 1 sandwich. It was flavorful and just right to warm up my stomach. The salad was fresh and unique! Tasty stuff that had me perfectly satisfied.

This unique cafe by the river side is one of my favorite, it is good for spending a quiet afternoon either alone or with a close friend. The setting makes you feel like you are hiding from the busy world and getting recharged. The window seats overlook the river and the water sound can be heard when windows are open. The wine and beer selections seems adequate, but I haven’t ordered one yet. The food choices on the menu are simple and they are good and consistent. However, I wish they can update the menu more often. It’s worth a try!

Only one generic option for hot coffee and cold coffee available. Do not expect lattes or the like. Hot coffee was very bad. (paper cup) Earl grey tea was amazing. (mug) Didn't try the food, I will on another visit. Food stops at 8PM. Cafe closes at 9PM. Atmosphere, cleanliness, view and service was 10/10! Will continue to visit for the location. Sadly, as a coffee-lover, I won't order anything next time.
