Things to know: It is October 2024 and their website has not been updated since 2020/Covid. Ignore it and call for any information you require. It is quirky, in a good way. Their menu (limited but creative) is posted at the entrance, make your choices before entering. You order at the counter and they bring your food to you - this means, send one of your party to the lower seating area to claim a table (if there is one) while you place their order for them. If there isn't a table there are a few seats at the counter. If weather permits there is outdoor seating. What I really mean is that seating is limited, go during off-peak times for the best experience. The restaurant itself is very clean. Its large windows overlooking a scenic river are very dirty. With their southern exposure on a sunny day the view is spoiled. Go on an overcast day, it helps. To be fair, since the windows are above the river, they'd need a barge and scaffold to clean them correctly and that's not happening. I find this place charming and I suspect you will too. Use it sparingly, so I can still get a seat...
Read moreI think the Lady Killigrew was once much better than it is now, I seem to remember it being a bar, where one could get drinks. Now it seems they call it a cafe, but it is hardly a cafe. They offer coffee but it may be burnt. They offer bagels and two flavors: plain and everything, but the everything bagel is severely lacking. There was so much cheese it kind of made her ill, and the salad that came with it was rather skimpy. My partner ordered something for herself which was inadequate. Extremely steep prices for low quality service, for mediocre food. I felt like we got jipped. On top of that, when my partner placed the order, the person who took the order said check back in 15 or 20 minutes, rather than being clear and decisive. I feel like this is one place that has gone downhill since covid, and I won't be going back or recommending...

Only two types of bagel options, two types of coffee (regular or cold brew), and very limited other morning beverage choices (for those of us who don't drink coffee). Perhaps minimalism is their thing?
I will say, I tried the "Maple Milk" which, spoiler alert, is literally maple syrup stirred into whole milk, Nesquick-style. But hot damn was it tasty! Who'da thunk it.
Anyways, word on the street is they're sandwiches are pretty great so maybe lunch would have been a more representative meal for the Lady. We'll have...
