From the moment we stepped inside Firefly Cafe, the familiar warm ambiance greeted us—the cozy decor and friendly staff instantly making us feel at home. It was reassuring to find that the excellence in service and the inviting atmosphere remained unchanged from my last visit just a few years ago.

We started with their renowned pastries, and I must say, the lemon bar was a standout. Tangy yet perfectly balanced, it set the stage for what turned out to be a delightful culinary experience.

For our main dishes, we opted for the noodle bowl, fish and chips, Kalache, and the heirloom salad. The noodle bowl was a hearty concoction filled with fresh vegetables, satisfying our hunger while pleasing our taste buds with its robust flavors. First off .. I want to say thank you to the staff who were super nice to my husband and I .. Second .. This resturaunt deserves some current praise .. We ordered the beer battered fish and chips to go , for my husband on our anniversary today .. I'm blown away by the quality of their food !! My husband sais it is SUPERB and he's a blunt critic about RESTURAUNT meals .. He also said it brought him back to his childhood when his parents would take him to Foster Country Club in Rhode Island .. He's chowing down on it and said we have a problem .. He sais I'm going to have to get my own .. 😂😂 He also said that he hasn't had beer battered fish this good since then .. He's got stage 4 cancer and was almost brought to tears when he took his first bite .. I feel completely confident recommending your resturaunt to anyone and will .. Thank you so much for making our anniversary special...

We should have gotten the Reuben.

(Explainer: we got two “asian salads” priced $17 each. They were not bad, the dressing was good, the nuts were nice, the chicken OK, the lettuce not special but did the job. But seriously, a simple salad for SEVENTEEN DOLLARS? So that's why we say: we should have gotten the Reuben. We saw other people order the Reuben. And eat it. And it looked sooo good. Especially since this was basically our only meal for the day. But the lady behind the counter is SUPER friendly. The deserts look lit, and we'd recommend ordering them if you don't order a Reuben. There is not a lot of daylight in the cafe itself but that's OK, there's newspapers to read and you can go for a walk nearby. Parking is available for patrons too.
